"so many people I wish were up here with David and *me* tonight." (not "I")
Sorry to be the grammar police...but it is a bit shocking to hear that from someone who sounds so posh and intelligent. (Though nerves are probably to account for it.)
Wow, what a fail... you try to correct her grammar when she had it right and you had it wrong in the first place. But posting a comment to youtube can be stressful; nerves are probably to account for it. :P
No, trust me, I'm an english major...it's "me." The test is you take the David part out and the pronoun still has to make sense. She wouldn't say..."I would like to say there are so many people I wish were up here with 'I' tonight."
Certainly wasn't the way I was taught and to be honest anyone can say they are an English major - doesn't make you right. Even if you were right, you assume that just because of her accent she must be able to speak perfect English? You also haven't considered that she is British and your "version" of English is different to ours - perhaps the grammar is different in American English, because again, I certainly was not taught to say 'me'. In fact I was explicitly told NOT to say it that way!

Does it matter if she said it incorrectly? I don't think saying "me" or "I" was the first thing on her mind, to be quite honest with you.
