I'm kinda late but I just bought this game like 4 days ago. why didn't I do it earlier. I like the slower more methodical pace. though the head shot thing kinda bummed. but I like the use of cover this time around. no more just run and gun. the first game was great but it was practically unreal3 in third person. just to spastic. but also an excellent game I just wasn't that good at it.

The only thing I can say about the game is, I don't care for the many rounds that must be fired before your enemy/opponent dies. Perhaps as one progresses, he might take on new weapons that are actually effective. Other wise, it's too much work to kill them.

Gears 2 is not too different from the first. The shotgun still rapes everything because there is no aim assist and the assault rifle is like my air-soft gun(weak as balls). Some people prefer mid-ranged combat and I hope Gears 3 will make the assault rifles a viable option.

A good tactic with the shotgun is after every shot zoom out because the shotgun fires faster if you zoom out and in after every shell

I don't understand why Sony fanboys say Gears 2 is Gears 1.5, there is a ton of new features. Look at the Ratchet and Clank Future series, they are all the same, Uncharted 2 looks the same as Uncharted 1. Motor Storm Pacific rift is the same as Motor Storm 1 with new locations.
