Unless you fix a number of years back and say "Past here I have no ancestors" then feeling connected to modern European culture should be the exact same in principle as feeling connected to modern native american culture since in both cases you have someplace in  history where your bloodlines diverge.

While I don't want to get into a comment battle, the world's cultures haven't always been around. They developed over time. I'm not fixing a number of years, but in general each part of the world has its own culture and I embrace my ancestors' culture.
