I've been eyeing the 5122. I love its twang sound, it's much smoother than my telecaster. Even it's twangy guitar, it can be a very smooth guitar. My main concern was the tuning stability of a floating bride and bigsby combo but you appear to say that pinning and locking tuners do the trick. Too bad they don't make to original vintage looking tuners locking... I really like the look. I'll def look into all of that if/when I decide to get one and recover from holiday spendings lol.
Thank you! I did put in some cheaper 94 style pups cause I do like that single coil bite! I also replaced the original tuning keys with locking ones (planet wave) and also had the bridge "pinned" I think all of that made a big difference in how it sounds and plays. I do not have tuning issues as I did before I replaced them. Hope that helps.

nice guitar playing! Did you install a P94s and black humbucker rings??? btw, how does the flotting bridge feel? Any tuning instabilties?
