He's a good shot, sure. But somehting you have to remember is he's using a compound bow, which is basically like a spring gun. It has sights and evena trigger release. William Tell would not be impressed.
the coolest part of this video is that this guy is pretty much good at everything! He do dice stackings, he do cloth pulling, he do magic (i believe) and other cool things. He is not just good at this thing, he is almighty good at things!
I was gonna rag on him until the dropping apple, that's superb marksmanship, that being said , you've just seen the only man in Japan with a Compound bow and OMG it's a american bow. The irony is killing me...
Well I for one think this guy is great. He's got a bit of the showman in him, has skill and is a good role model for us old farts. Speaking of which I can actually fart in time with the music. So maybe next time we could combine his shooting with my 'sound effects' to make the complete show package?
pure luck and chance.... look at his wobbles at the 2 min mark. he has those wobbles every shit. hes just releasing the arrows the second he see his sight over the target. terrible skill.
what the fuck i could do that all your doing is shooting through a couple of ballons and if your not a dumbass you can see that all he has to do is look in the middle of the ballons cuzz there all perfect in a line so hes gonna get a bullz-eye without tryen
then he jumps 50 feet in the air grab himself from the wall and disappear in the shadows and then out of nowhere a smoke bomb explodes and he appears and then he throw shurikens to the target and use a ninjutsu to make a a clone of himself and throw another arrow to the clone's knee :D
@Nazzadan Thing is this guy is TV show host, and a complete amateur who had no prior experience with a bow. He always picks something random and practices a few weeks to do these challenges on TV, to show old dogs can learn new tricks. Not bad imo.
@xXAlecXxC I assume, and this is a mere guess, that since they are filled with Helium, the passing through several of them would potentionally cause a disruption due to different gasses and thus compensation must be made to remain accurate? I mean... that is the only thing I could think to make it anything tricky as you pointed out.
wow, none of those were even hard enough to be considered "trick shots", the floating balloon and falling apple were just a mater of practice makes perfect, and the pendulum "trick" was just a mater of timing.
alright, thats nice and all, but i think nico bellic should have come in and just been like FUCK THIS BULLSHIT and blown that shit uo with a rocket launcher ;)
It's funny how all youtube commentators are expert archers, fighters, chess masters, football stars, etc, etc wasting time here instead honing their skills. XD
Not impressed at all, but thoroughly entertained. The last one wasn't impressive because it has really not archery skill involved, just timing and luck since I doubt he practices that kind of thing. I guess I can say I'm impressed that he can hit anything with how shaky he is.
Screw you haters. Maybe you have shot a compound bow before, but you didn't make it to the stage did you? I am the biggest fan of Byron Ferguson because he shoots without any sights, traditional. But with a compound bow that was some great shooting.
You haters go up there and go under that kind of pressure of pride. I bet you cannot shoot the first stage like he did.
anyone who thinks that was easy is a moron. ok so the opening shots were easy, the swinging blades? the falling apple? this is a man who practices a lot.
You may be right about adoption of new technologies by military elite of many cultures,as can be seen on my ancestors, the Ottomans. They adopted light firearms as early as late 15th century and used them efficiently. But, if you would not mind, may I ask why matchlock muskets brought to Japan by Portugese tradesmen have never been spread although they were adopted and used for a while. I would assume that military elite may also be conservative and maintain status quo sometimes.
Trick shots with a compound bow on the land of Kyujutsu is just a shame. The long Japanese archery tradition bitten by 40 year-old American technology?
