Justin what model of Tele is that? I have seen the Nashville model with the 3 single coils but never one with 2 singles and a mini humbucker and 3 controls.

This is the coolest band ever and I thought that you should do "My third house" by Kings of leon. You may need a wah wah pedal for it though and since you don't use anything fancy your songs ( besides distortion) so this would be a great song to start of with.
