these people likChopin were virtuosos by their teens, because of their hard work. When you see someone who is 9 or 10 playing concertos now, people say "that kid needs some fun in his/her life" well, which is it, society? Are we allowed any more musical geniuses or not?
@marchesi1993 yes but usually a waltz tempo is very strict, with little room for tempo fluctuations, but not in this piece. Even though I think he plays it too fast, he still deviates from the tempo a bit.
i really dont like rubinstein...i think all of the pieaces of chopin he ever performed are fast....well atleast faster than intended....that is my opinion..
Bárcsak nem volt olyan bumbler a zongoranl. Mintegy 0,52 szakasz végén egy mondat, amely kitűnően Mo művészet k545. Szóval szép.

I wish I wasn't such a bumbler at the piano. Around 0. 52 the section ends with a phrase that is exquisitely Mozart k545. so beautiful.

A perfectly proportioned account of this lovely miniature. Rubinstein is warmly expressive without resorting to sentimentality.

@KOGAL79 I was just thinking the same thing. I think this piece means so much more when slowed down. It's more intimate that way.
AngelOfABurnedHeaven 8 months ago
@AngelOfABurnedHeaven but remember it's a waltz, you can't dance a waltz if the tempo is too slow...
