  • this song is live but everyone was to busy being silent tripping out to the fucking epppicccc bass riff

  • @MileenasFloss Feersum Ennjin. Good material. He also has a band called Lusk.

  • Inception? Pfff...Maynard thought that concept up long ago!!

  • I love inception and nolan as much as the next guy but seriously, has no one read Poe?

  • @CIRCLECIX Thank you I was just about to put that haha.

  • Umm I think Edgar a. Poe was one of the first to put a concept of a dream within a dream into writing.

  • INCEPTION was inspired by Tool. Whoda Thunk It?

  • i'm pretty sure Inception wasn't the first time dreams within dreams were thought of.

  • I simply love TOOL

  • Whoever disliked this...... IS A LITTLE BITCH!!!! WHY DID YOU LOOK UP TOOL? FUCKIN'

    RETARD!!

  • @ahorne1000 why are you so upset someone could disagree with what you think? fucking pussy. laughing as you die

  • When I first listened to to TOOL I instantly fell in love!

  • @simonaacosta it took me untill the third album to get into it. i seen em live during opiate, and was interested... but it wasnt till aenima that i caught the vibe, and went back to catch up.

  • @simonaacosta I LOVE LISTENING TO TO TOOL!!!!

  • Tool predicted Inception, listen to the chorus. Dream within a dream

  • damn this album never gets old

  • Listen to ASG on Volcom Entertainment from North Carolina.

  • @AndyAzz25 No. Listen to Tool.

  • @bootheguru Oh, Tool kicks ass. The Sword and ASG are just as good, just unknown.

  • @AndyAzz25

Tool is in a league of their own, but yeah ASG is f'ing awesome too

  • @jeff27a Yea you right. ASG is influenced by TOOL. ASG needs to be on the radio but thats how it is on Volcom skate, snow, surf, and entertainment. The Sword on Kemado Records sounds kinda like ASG but they know how to rock.

  • 2:18 - 2:52 makes me wanna fuckin rage. best moment ever

  • Danny Carey is an inspiration.

  • Where are you Tool? Wasting a 'perfect'ly good drummer, assholes. Don't have to tour, talking to you, Maynard. Adam, get outta the clay, for a bit (went with the original three, being here....takes me home).

  • no kidding

  • Ahhh Maynard. Your voice gives me awesome shivers!!

  • just hit me how much his voice sounds like the dude from tragically hip.

  • @homer0383

Gordie hasn't sounded THIS good for years. He pretty much just growls all the time now.

  • @Fakename70 who the fuck is Gordie

  • @cupstonful

I'll assume you know full well who "Gordie" is, but, just haven't heard him referred to by that name much. Check the lyrics to "New Orleans Is Sinking."

  • suggestions brought me here...

  • Toolception

  • Escape from LA brought me here.

  • @stunami0 yeah but they lit my blunt for me.ha

  • just getting my daily tool fix

  • "Dream within a dream."

    Toolception. Holy shit.

  • This stuff is so influenced by Shakespeare, Einstein, Poe, Jung, and Jim Morrison ... much more than meets the eye here... all prophets involved

  • Comment removed

  • TOOL fucking rocks! they need to play more tool on the radio, to remind people what great music sounds like

  • Inception is based off this song I mean listen to the lyrics

"Seems like I've been here before.Seems so familiar.Seems like I'm slipping

into a dream within a dream."

So did the producers of Inception pay Tool to use their idea?

  • @dpfreddy12 Haha, I just watched Inception and my brother said it reminded him of this song.

  • Yet if hope has flown away

In a night, or in a day,

In a vision, or in none,

Is it therefore the less gone?

  • @boomershadow that is the gayest thing ive ever heard. THX now i get to kill myself

  • You know, almost ironic. The 90's was like a hybrid of 60's. You had grunge and alternative music at it's peek. Where it was cool to say fuck you to society but in a punkish mainstream way. Tool, came in with this new scene, but in a very unique way, the only true unique way. They were the twisted side, the dark side of this movement. Like the Doors were in the 60's Tool was to us in the 90's.

  • @TheAngelicRider i noticed that too. not so much the thing about The Doors and Tool, but other than that I've noticed a repeating trend. kinda like the 80's and right now. the girls have big hair and the guys wear tight pants. seems a little strange. seems like everything kinda repeats every 25 years or so.

  • @twistedclaim Kids like to dress like queers, like in the 80's. It's kind of funny to watch. Hope they start poofing up their hair and wearing makeup..... oh crap to late

  • Comment removed

  • @radioheadkids2 Someone gets the picture :P

  • Hollywood has planted the idea in our heads that the line "a dream within a dream" relates to Inception in every instance of it's use. (as the previous comments should reveal)

    There's a real mindf**k for you!

  • @skyman724

    it was a joke.

  • SEEMS LIKE I'M SLIPPIN' INTO A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM

    INCEPTION

  • Joarey666 i love my self every day man

  • if u dislike TOOL u dislike yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @drewfilms123 and @gramkrakerJG wtf not original!

  • must be the way you whisper

  • This music grows hair on your balls.

  • Good old school Tool. It's a shame that their older stuff isn't as well known.

  • I wonder if Christopher Nolan stole the concept of a dream within a dream from Tool :P

  • Used to jam to this every mornin with my good friends on the burn ride before school. 9th grade ruled!! Jam to opiate on the way to school, and sleep my first period study hall!!

  • @TheNHRaider Your lucky your friends like this. All my friends like the stupid crap that plays on the radio while they think Tool sounds like a cat getting run over *Facepalm*

  • Maybe we are sharing a dream?....

  • dream within a dream?????

  • @djsounz same here, man. I'm black and I love hard rock, especially the jams of Maynard James Keenan. Music like this should be all over the radio, not the generic putrid crap that's playing now. Maynard and the boys should have performed in the Super Bowl this year...who the fuck is Fergie?

  • @VicePower your a ture black man and also i think yur right idk who the fuck they r either. Tool would of bumped that super bowl man

  • @VicePower end result= Millions of ignorant humans become instantly enlightened

  • @VicePower Could I just hump your leg a little?? XD

Who the fuck is Fergie :D greatest comment EVAR

  • @VicePower if that was so then all of those shitty casual fans who only listen to one tool song on itunes and ignore their albums would be tool fans and all of us sensible folk would have to seperate ourselves from them and thus we would listen to fergie

  • @frozenbloodbullets don't worry about what other people are doin. Just like what you like and let them like or pretend to like whatever they want.

  • @VicePower same here :D

  • @VicePower I'm black to and I love me some fuckin TOOL and shit :DDD

  • @VicePower you know what....would you have it any other way though? how watered down would great music become if it were mainstream?

  • @Poonard i agree with u man this kind of music should not be mainstream it would just be better if they had mainstream that all the gay people listend to but this kind of music is wat a bigger majority liked

  • @VicePower

Tool in the Super Bowl? Goodness, I'd love to see that. They'll never do it, they're not that type.

  • @VicePower I agree with you there I'm 20 and black and forced to grow up around this rap stuff they consider music,,I always loved tool,,my granddad showed me them,,,amazing band.Been listen to them forever now.

  • @jakeen229 Rap is actually pretty awesome if you know where to look and yeah I'm black too but I have to get my daily hiphop besides prog rock

  • @KhemAndKurami Same here, I love hiphop and rock, pretty much anything that sounds good. You get to enjoy so much more when your music is diverse

  • @KingChile94 Lol exactly, being able to choose from different genres is like being in an all you can eat restaurant, you have so much choice.

  • @VicePower You sir got a thumb up

  • @VlikeVince777 lol from me aswell

  • @djsounz dude, anyone who says that oreo shit is retarted. just because ur differen't doesn't make u any less black. don't let anyone tell u that. people are so stereotypical.

  • Life is but a dream in itself. Step outside oneself and the truth shall be found.

  • You're a tool if you don't listen to Tool!

  • DAMNIT! Why isnt Tool on itunes!? BAHH

  • @Breezybaby441 you can buy the actual cds and rip them onto your computer and then transfer them to your iPod. That's what i did. kick-ass.

  • If you like tool you could try maybe listening to Skinny Puppy, Gary Numan's new shit is alright, it's kinda like nine inch nails

  • I always wondered what drives a person to press the dislike button on anything, I mean shit if you don't like the song or band just go to a different video? assholes

  • the sun is burning hot again.....

  • hes a fisherman

  • So good to see so many tool fans that appreciate the epic music.

  • @bugkfish

    GOOD TRY, there!

    im kidding

  • I love how thrash-like they were back then, fucking amazing.

  • who is this band? i hear something potentially.

  • @clouds4free WOW this was back in the 90s dude, listen to their new stuff. Apparently there was potential that you hear, because they're a fucking AMAZING band now

  • @davidholmes282 their probably not into this kind of music, falling on deaf ears and who cares anyway fuck em

  • Such a fuckin beefy groove, fuck YEAH... this riff could reanimate me from the dead...

  • Fucking YEARS ahead of their time when this came out. Then again, TooL have always been just a little bit smarter than everyone else. You don't write music like this without being a genius and able to understand musical art.

  • wow thanks to you im getting my old tool fix....NEEDED some tool ya know?? such good music man

  • @davidholmes282 I mean How are Gangsters Pussys???? I thought that was what made them Gangsters...I guess some peoples Ignorance Knows NO BOUNDS....But I agree TOOL FOREVER

  • @djsounz

Yeah homie it like this. I am From the 313 Detroit City. Nobody and i absolutly nobody I ran or even run wit today is even capable of understanding TOOL or do they dig the music. My peeps are gangsters on a petty street hustle level but nevertheless the one thing they not is PUSSYS !! Pussys dont dress as homeless..come from behind dribbling a basketball and swiftly end your life to resolve a beef !! So yes some of us love TOOL and if you dont like it..Fuck Yourself...I says !!!

  • @djsounz Gangsters? you don't realize that the reason they act hard is because of their insecurity. If they act tough then they won't have to face reality and they frighten people into getting what they want. Although, some of us aren't fooled. :)
