@jacquelyn818 Hey thank you for the request! And I straighten my hair every other day, because on my "dirty hair" days haha my hair is still straight so i don't need to mess with it at all. and yeahh I actually filmed one already but it turned out bad so i'm gonna redo it :D

Did you use a permenant or a semi=permenant colour because you have to use a permenant colour to go light because of the levels of proxide i think or something like that. Also my friend wanted to go from black to blonde but she had to do it in stages and it took about a year as she had to die it lighter bit by bit, you may need to either leave it on longer or choose a lighter colour that you want to make it go lighter. Or you can bleach then die brown but that can damage your hair. xxx

ohhh u should try the les true brunettes ,its the same brand u used but made for dark hair. i think it work pretty well. rosebud143 and ekimura have a video on them.

you should dye your hair with a blonde color. Seriously, I also did and it turned out exactly the light brown color I wanted ^^.

you can get lighter with the box (tried) but if your hair is black you won't get more than 1 shade.

Hi Jackie, I can tell it is a bit lighter and I really like it! :) I agree with you and I wouldn't bleach it either because it is damaging. Try dying it light every few months and good luck! :) xoxo

Just to let you know that putting the plastic over your processing hair is actual going to stop it from fully coloring. Color needs oxygen to process. The only time you would put a bonnet on is if you are going to use heat to help the processing time

you should bleach your hair first. It's really hard to go from a darker color to a lighter one without bleaching it. You can also try "color oops" it's suppose to take all the colored product out of your hair but it does lighten it up a bit without damaging it as much as the bleach~^^

@stal0291 I bleached my hair in high school before and it's horrible for your hair. Dying your hair until you get the desired color is still damaging but definitely not as bad as bleaching. I'll never bleach my hair again!! >.<

if you want to make it lighter faster use pantene prov normal one not the color one and itll lighten faster!

hair doesn't go lighter by the box, you NEED to bleach to lighten hair so that's probably why it didn't work

I usually bleach my hair if i go from a darker to lighter color, (I don't do it that often, so it doesn't fry my hair, which is pretty healthy anyway), but i get that done professionally then do the actual coloring myself. You can buy bleach kits at drugstores and whatnot too though.

Black hair is always a pain to dye lighter :( It's so stubborn! this looks pretty though!

i think you're going to have to reapply it at least twice or three times more for the color to be more apparent. my hair's black naturally too and when i lightened it, it took a couple of applications for the color to really start showing. just the curse of having the darkest shade out there i guess, hahah.

I can see the difference...it's too bad that it didnt come out as light as you want it to be but the brown color that you can right now looks sooo natural that I wouldn't even know that you dyed it. I have black hair so I used Loreal (same brand) in Ash blonde and left it in my hair for 1.5 hour and it came out really light! This might be better than dying it 3 times...

I can actually tell a difference after watching the video from before you dyed your hair. Don't worry, I used to dye my hair all the time and I got it super blond and I'm a medium brunette. Give it a few times of being dyed and it'll reach the color you desire! Good luck little miss. :)

i loved michelle phans hair when she went brunette. I think since you have the same skin tone it would look nice on you too.

But once you dye your hair you have to keep dying it and i would worry about the harmful long termeffects on the hair. Do you have a conditioning treatment you do?
