  • RP this is a public response from me I asked you to point out the 10 which seemed to have sifted through the 1000s on the page and they would be promply removed you failed to do so, now you are trolling the internet looking for me and that counts as harassement if this continues i will take legal action, my own work which will be used is 100% copyright although it has made it onto hidden glasgow and urban glasgow without my permission once i find the perpetrator i will take action against them S

  • this is a public apology to Drumchapel Life So Far. In a moment of anger over a dispute l left the comments below for which l feel ashamed. I have tried to remove the comment for the last 4 days but have not been able to succeed. I thought by closing my account it would remove all comments but that failed. I tried contacting You Tube that also appears to have failed, l will keep trying but in the mean time please forgive me and l admit it was wrong of me to be so mean spirited. RP

  • geez lived in halgreen ave '73 - '88. amazing how memories come flooding back. it wasn't living the high life but it was friendly and happy, good pals, good neighbours, good ice cream vans! i remember the city bakeries vans and big mo shouting 'MORNIN RECORD' every night at 11ish (except sunday!) long hot summers of '75 and '76 .doggin school and hiding in the close till my mum went to work. stealing all the wee lightbulbs out the close fuse boxes in fettercairn ave. ah those were the days ....

  • I grew up in Marhill in the 1940s and If I recall thats when Drumchapel was being planned/built. good post thank you.

  • Loved this wee video, brought back lots of happy childhood memories, left the drum in 1984 after living there since i was one in 1970, went to drumry primary and kingsridge secondry for 1st year! i remember the fountain when it was still working ;-} u can take the boy oot the drum but u'll never take the drum oot the boy!! YHTD #1

  • I live in Drumchapel and I have to say that old Drumchapel looks so much cooler than it does now but I hope everybody agrees with me when I say that Drumchapel is a really good place

  • greate memories, i grew up on fettercairn av from 1974 then moved to inchfad dr, all the old houses from up the hill are gone now and new ones built, i miss the old place.

  • what memories these pictures bring back grew up in katewell ave went to st lawrences school then st pius secondary moved to vancouver canada when i was 16 but still consider it home

  • when/why did they knock down Lochgoin Primary? Left Drumchapel in 1983, return every now and then, good to see montage, addds to my own collection

  • Drumchapel was an amazing place to grow up, I went to Lochgoin primary and Kingsridge secondary schools, now live in New Zealand, thanks for the memories, it lets my kids see where there old man came from.
