Haha, awesome vid, i've seen this one like million times (first time back in 2007 or somthing like that) and still think that this is fucking amazing :) This vid (made by stelzig) and thomas60's oxide station vid (with bloc party - helicopter innit if i remember right xD) made me listen rock-kind-of music :)

Awesome quality in this vid and awesome music, fucking great gameplay and awesome projectile+cresting tech in the end (before the big jump in the end) :)

I do that because (at least with my strategy) it is slightly faster (or felt that way :P), and I didn't need to hit the turbo pad again to reach sacred fire.

Interesting that you can reach that time now. I believe I could as well with enough work back then, but getting the shortcut 3/3 alone is just alot of work heh. You can see I even take the last shortcut pretty safely on final lap because I didn't want to risk falling down on the last corner after finally finishing 3/3 ;)

I didnt really could make this time my best was 2'00"92(and still is :S) and I had 40"6x SL'S but I didnt understand what really I need to know to make sub 1"59.it was a "lay" lol I have now 40'48 SL with ONLY awesome last sc and I have 40'76 with a bad sc so I think I can finally sub 2'00(GOD!!!!!) on this track ;) but I dont think that even now I can beat this vid XD.Doesnt care thought since I'm sure at least that I can beat your best lap ^^ Also I beat you now in CNK xD

Well remember to go to the right of the bear on the other two laps. I'm quite sure it is faster when you can skip the turbo pad ;)

I know the strategies have improved slightly. A perfect run should be at least 1:56 maybe even sub that :)

Also you see how I hit that slope before the last SC on lap 1. When you manage to hit that it goes faster too :)

I know everything you said -.- btw, wr is 1'56"70, which is improveable, I think the ultimate time of that player is like 1`55"2x XD but I doubt you could sub 1"58 back then...

@zah666 Arsène_Lupin had 1'58"4x WR back then, and probably the splits to sub. Also, in a track so long and with random propulsions, your best splits are never perfect, always improvable. With the propulsions shown here, I confirm 1'57" was very feasible.

@kankuro6666 its just hard, the trick is finding the right moment to jump up to the wall, in order to hit the wall lip (double jump) and go over the water. Too early and you crash into the wall, too late, and you go into the water.

I think I could break this time when I'm able to do that shortcut too. Like daminox said, he doesn't use the Turbo Boost all the time. Maybe a beat with Polar would even be possible. Time to try. Niceone mate.

I'm pretty confident I could give you a run for your money now that i know about that 1st shortcut you take, especially seeing how he doesn't even powerslide 100% of the time.

It is me playing and powersliding all the time is not good.

Look at the speedometer. Full speed all the time. By not sliding all the time i can drive in a more straight line and faster.

You get more reserves for longer miniturbos therefore it is also best to release them as late as possible which i'm guessing you don't do based on your comment about doing it 100% of the time.

You have to brake while turning in the air to do that. I don't think i did that at any time in this run though. The reason i turn that well in the shortcut is because i jump again from the edge i hit.

And this shortcut is extremely hard to hit (espicially 3/3) so don't expect to get the hang of it in only a few tries ;)

I also have heard that of which pentomic she has but acceleration or she starts before in the version the PAL that in the NTSC. In my opinion I do not create that although tendria that to verify it. But I had the CTR in multi, the PAL and single NTSC and probe in both and change the image format nothing else. Ah and you pardon my terrible English of translator :( ^^

I recently have been told from respectable ctr players with both NTSC and PAL version of game. Penta is slower in NTSC version, but cheats work for timetrial there.

So its a little unfair, if you wan't to make a "fast" legal record with penta you need PAL.

como sea, en toda mi experiencia en el CTR (q aun es poca) descubri q esos tiempos y velocidades son posibles de hacer, las versiones PAL y NTSC son factores importantes pero solo en algunos personajes (penta por ejemplo) pero si es posible hacer lo q ves en el video... si no me crees no es mi problema :) (yo tampoco lo creia al principio). si te ofendi no fue mi intencion, mil disculpas :)

Me da pena que aun haya gente que se crea que thomas60 no usa trucos. LLevo jugando al juego desde que slaio a la venta y no sere el mejor del mundo pero lo suficiente para saber que eso esta hecho usando unos trucos que te cagas.
