hes not lucky he just knows where to look but yesterday i went down a cave for 3 ours and i found 17diamond 2stacksof 64 of iron and bout 38 more and 4 stacks of coal 1 stack of redstone and 12 more and 57 gold I WAS LIKE BBBOOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAA

i did a 3x3 straight down with a one block on a side removed for the ladder. Then i count up from the bottom 10 blocks and then make a glass platform then start digging tunnels that are one wide and 3 high with two between each tunnel so that each tunnel faces diff. blocks on the side. I get diamond and iron and coal out the rear that way.

oh, and he doesnt get lucky with iron. if you go into cave systems and explore the whole thing until its all lit, you find atleast 1 pack of iron. i got 3 packs from a whole vast of caves. Which, I, of course used on minecart tracks >_>

mastatsan, one of the fastest way to get diamond is: make a double shaft (which looks like this from UP

D = Dirt

L = Ladder

DDDD

DL D

DDDD this way, whenever you encounter a mine you can still see it coming and survive the jump (for example: when you see it, dont mine down) use such a shaft to go to like, layer 10 and randomly make some shafts. use the shafts to find some caves or diamond cuz the fastest way to find diamond is with caves! hope this helped and not, hope i wasted your time.

try to build a underwater city-. a big 1. here is a methode: find a ocean then find some trees cut them. then u fil a 3+3 up to the ground level. then fill another 3+3 beside it until u get a 6+6. then u dig right beside it a little hole to under the flat then u dig up, there u have a little underwater tower. ohhhh i forget to say create some glass and fill it just out of the stone or mud. then create some doors. go under to the underwater citygo outside and place a door a place:p the go inside

Creepers are so misunderstood... they don't really want to hurt us... (we some of them do... but that's not the point) they just want to help us find Iron ore, that makes them the more helpfull of the monsters in MineCraft.

As I see, you tend to choose the way that goes to an upper direction, always. If I remember well, sometimes you didn't check some way that goes deeper. Well, a few days ago I tried to always choose the path that goes deeper, and I just found lava, surrounded with redstones, and diamonds nearby aswell, pretty fast. You should try that too once, coz this way you find iron and coal only (not that its not cool, but still.. :P)

Mining straight down can be VERY bad, what if you fall in underground cave full of creepers, and you can't get out in time. You go BOOM!!!

I think you forgot to explore a part of the cave. You could have gone deeper down, but you bridged it with dirt (2:55) and went on straight ahead instead. You come past the bridge again at 5:53, but again, you don't go down and eventually come back out.

Don't know if you already have the next one in the works or not, but my suggestion is to go ahead and work on the mine shaft. And since you've already explored and cleared that cave as safe (pretty much), figure out the deepest location and start digging. If you hit another cave system, explore. If not, at least you'll reach diamond level. Just be careful of lava. And, use the chests at various points to store your stuff just in case.

on one of my files there was a cave with a hole and at the bottom of it water

so i jumped down with nothing but a iron pick and got down there basicaly lost all my life points i look around all i see is diamonds red ore and iron and cole and i saw a hole wondering what leeds down there i saw like 50 spiders on the roaf like 10 skeletons and zombies etc and i die obviosly so i whent down there again with iron pick mined some iron and lava filled the cave i was like no! nevr found diamand again:(

Iron isn't THAT hard to find. ;) I've seen deposits just out in the open without even going into holes.

Also, I'd ALWAYS be wary of those sounds, because you never know when caves interconnect above you. XD I've had that happen where I was walking along, and didn't realize that there was a split above me.
