@parabelll You don't need an Apple router for Airplay to work. Any router will work. An Apple TV or Airport Express is only required for actually displaying or playing the video or audio to your tv or home theatre speakers but your network can be run on any router.

I have my second thoughts about the wireless streaming ... We have a external drive whitch can stream movies to our television as well. But in a 30 min span he takes a freez for a couple seconds. I wonder if the streaming really stays that good. :)
