you get more heat in your house instead of having to vent out with the old metal pipe it hold back more heat for the inside of the house the older furnaces had the metal pipe because they got hot and 20% of your heat went out the flu pipe on the older ones I got a new Lennox G5 92.1% gas furnace with HP13 2 1/2 ton Heat pump and I love them after they finally fixed the problem which ended up being a vacuum switch that was causing it to shut down they are an elite Series

I think the Furnace was a Weather King. I can't remember what the air conditioner was. I bought new ones because they where installed in 1985. It was time for a new setup.

what kind of air conditioner and furnance did you have before you got your lennox a/c and furnance? why did they need to be replaced?

The other companies lied to you lol. You cannot have a high efficient furnace that vents out the Chimney, it would have been a mid efficient around 85% where as yours is likely around 96% efficient.

That's why I went with 4 seasons.

They also gave me a 10 year on parts and labor plus 5 years on seasonal check ups.
