My friend created cheap alternative for Scottoiler using some tubes, hyringe and aquarium valve. And it works quite fine but needs using oil depending on air temperature.
@alchemyx I've seen systems where you can pump oil through a tube and give it some squirts while you ride. But who wants to bother with that, and then worry about it leaking during or after the ride? The Scottoiler system turns on and off with the bike so there's no worries, other than keeping the reservoir filled.
@wbwvids I completly agree, I am using that hand-made system currently, but if I ever change my bike I will install scottoiler, mainly because I hate to change oil everytime weather changes.
But to be honest - any system is hundred times more comfortable thant manual lubrication using spray ;)
I like the dual injectors for piece of mind, but to be honest I'm not sure how much better it is than the normal system as I've never tried it without the dual injectors.. I'm sure it's fine the way it comes in the box. :) Maybe it's worth reviewing?
Why wouldn't you fit the oiler to the FRONT sprocket? It would be less visible or completely covered by a bike with more fairing.

@daikiryoku You could, as we discussed in the full webBikeWorld review.

What's the purpose of this system? Can't you simply oil the chain periodically?
I'm fairly new to biking!

I have a V-system on my Blackbird and CBR600 with the dual injectors (and a lubetube for the Bird) and I love it. Great system!

@dazzelya Thanks, I wonder if the double injectors are better?
