Adam Fulara, is such a vissionaire, really... his work inspires to dare and learn this style, there are only like 5 or 4 experts on this style in the whole world, one of them Adam. This is the future of guitar, the new dimension, Stanley Jordan's legacy.
A lot of haters for this guy. All I can say is, Adam...... I'll see you soon. I'll be paying cash for your tickets. I think Ive seen all your vids and cant believe no one's asked you about your guitar! Never seen a double neck with the necks that close and I see you only have neck pickups which must have a lot to do with the way you play. Also, can you play screaming leads with a normal guitar? I can bang out some sweet 12 bar stuff but I KNOW how talented you are to do what you do.
maybe people haven't been listening to the whole thing, i really like some of the stuff closer to the end than some of the stuff at the begging. As a whole I think it is a wonderful piece
People love his Bach but hate on this. I'm not sure if this is one of his personal compositions, but its definitely a lot different than his Bach.
Maybe people just prefer a different genre or type of music that he's playing. But he is playing well and on point, so if you don't like it maybe he's not playing it for you. It doesn't take away from his talent one iota.

I've seen other YT clips of this guy playing just in front of the camera, things like Maple Leaf Rag and Bach and it's great but this is really bad. Out of tune and no rhythmn. Maybe when he cut his hair it messed up his playing or he just sucks in front of a live audience.
@krushnoi "Out of tune and no rhythmn." Yeah right, as if it were true. Maybe YOU are the one who's out of tune and no rhythm. I can't play like Adam Fulara does and you come making stupid comments here in YouTube? Talk is cheap A#$hole. Until you could convince the world you're better than this guy, keep your comments to yourself, Twit! But then, you just one of those imbeciles who think they know everything but can't prove anything.
@kigawman Sorry you're deaf dude. This piece sucked, his other non-live stuff was great like I said. Playing live is a lot more difficult as this video proves. Now go bother somebody else Daffy.
@lepiten09 using both hands, one playing bass and one doing harmonic rhythms is like playing a piano, seeing how its one hand on the bass clef, and one hand on the treble clef
In the other video he looked like Getty Lee now he looks like Ringo Starr. Uh I am confused with this Masquerade (sp) But, he is a very talented guitar artists. And probably gets more pussy than I, so, I say to Adam Fulara, "Salute"
don't listen to all these people with negative comments, you are never gonna please everyone and there is always gonna be people that don't like what you do no matter what you are playing or what technique you are doing, all that matters is that you are doing what you like to do and playing music from your heart :) keep up the great work!!
i agree with what dude says. i play many taps on guitar, but i have translated the taps to piano music and the other way around. seems like taps are a more natural way to play guitar if you play both guitar and piano.
It was standard and typical way for many players even before Joe Pass gained his fame. It was converted from classic guitar. Joe was famous for his harmonic and melodic skills of improvisation, not because his technic was unusual ( it was but it wasn't important ). You say "playing standard way is wasting of time" and you use "tapping" which is "the standard way" after all those years. The way is to develope melody, harmony, rythm. By now I can say you don't do that.I hope you'll get it one day
What is the techniqe for you? For me IS ABILITY to play harmony, melody over harmony etc. So you definied technique of Joe Pass like not technique. Joe Pass didn't use classical guitar techniqe. He was inspired by. He joined few things together like classical thingering with harmony, and melody on the top, or walking bass together. That was on the edge in his early years. It was experimental thing. Don't think about fingers only. ;)
It is really impressing. Still it is a bit like relying too much on unusual sort of things. For example tapping, shredding etc. They are just a try to show possibilities of instrument. The point is about the next step into music. Is it meaningful or not for the music)? I mean being creative in area of harmony, rythm, melody means more then "wonderful" craft, but they can go together. Stil Joe Pass did more with "standard" methods" than many guitarists. For Adam there is a whole realm to conquer.
The point is, that when Joe Pass created his own style and way of playing guitar it was "NOT STANDARD" way of playing guitar. It was experimental thing. It was on the edge and that's the point. You can say that Joe Pass has played like not very good double bass player (I mean sound) with not very good guitar player together too.
Now JP it's standard way of playing (one of few) and I think living on the edge is the point of being musician. Playing "stanadard ways" is waste of time.
I can agree with Wyga23.How can u say "Playing "stanadard ways" is waste of time" when uve been playing the standard way, which tapping is,for many years. I think you put a little too much effort to make ur playing extraordinary, while in fact, it is anything but extraordinary. There r tons of tapping players around the world(not in Pole of course). Your method of using guitar is maybe crafty but lacks musicality. Your tone is boring and the means u use to express urself on guitar are restricted.
I agree, there is a lot of players using tapping, and you didn't get the point. I play tapping because it's still quite new technique and give us a LOT of possibilities to create something. It could be in classical, rock, pop, jazz etc. I will use it to explore new ways in music in the future (I will try to do that). If there is some lack in the recording like "boring tone" it could be fixed in the future, don't you think? You can spend all your life playing almost like Joe Pass but why?
This video doesn't do justice to the actual sound of his guitar.
Fulara could go on showing off his virtuosity, but in this video he is showing good taste and sensibility. He isn't Django Reinhardt, but I don't think Adam will be offended by this statement.
The point is in this simile: if I could drive a Ferrari wouldn't it be great if I could use it correctly in normal situations and not only in races? Fulara does this with his guitar technique.
i agree with cracknigga. sounds like two broken music boxes. of course I could never do this in 3 lifetimes, not that I would want to. put some damn effects on and wail man!! and get a band up there! But I like ur Bach stuff - Bach rachs
Cheap photo cammera sound quality. What have you expected then? Besides I like sound of jazz guitar - fat and round which is unusal when you play tapping.
while admit that he is damn good, the i fail to see the value of this. 2 average guys could've done this together on 2 guitars with better sound. and even better if i dude played the piano and the other one were on the sax.
i don't get the guitar hero fixation thing of you people. music is about music, not "aswum skillz"
i bet if some dude could play the guitar with his wang, people would care, even it sounded like crap
You can say the same to every piano player at the world, to every accordion player etc. But there are some reasons against your theory. One of them is called Chopin for example. I cannot even imagine 2 people doing music like Chopin did.
But we had a music of John Coltrane Quartet (and many more) where rythm, harmony and melody were created by different musician ad hoc. I am rather one of your "fans" but a good example is your music with a band. It says everything about "cooperating" in music.
i think the point is that it doesn't sound like crap. you can say music is music, but when people play complicated songs, it brings out more to us than "just music". the fact that ONE guy did this instead of TWO is astounding. in that case, you could have 100 person bands, and they'll sound just as good as a 4 person band, right?
yes, his music is good, i'm not arguing, but I plainly think that a guitar is not suitable for such stuff, and tapping is just a surrogate technique so you can play 2 necks, it sounds kind of stiff and too stakkato.
i would've enjoyed it more if this was played on different instruments, not just tapped on an electric guitar. maybe this is just my dislike of tapping, for as a guitarist i think of it as of just something fun to do, but nothing you wanna hear for longer than 10 seconds
fair enough. but also as a guitarist, you have to admit how hard it would be to multitask by tapping on two different necks, with different melodies on each. i don't really like the sound of it either, just cause of my taste, but either way it's impressive.
yes, if you take the technical aspect of it, it surely is very impressing. and way way better to listen to than all the ultra fast shredders with no sense for melody
