i was like just born when the 'good' bop its came out. but my older siblings got them so i was able to play with them until, they broke. now i have the new one. it does not compare to the original but its still very addicting

I had a Bop It, but it wasn't this newer one, it was the original. The very first edition. I broke it when I was 10, and it kept going off with random sounds for a year.

It truly is a sad state entertainment is in nowadays. I remember being the happiest kid in the world when I had that toy. It seems like forever I played that thing - it never got old. Now I can't even stay entertained with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for more than a few days. I want my mid 90's childhood back. Bring back my mario bros deluxe, my bop it, and my Iron Man Season 2 TV show.

I have one like that, only it's black and it's been with my family since before I was born. I don't know if it's the first edition or not, but it's nowhere near as loud as the bop-it extreme.
