QQ My DQ8 makes noises like, I think the disc might be scratchy. It makes a sound of someone hitting the floor after a jump, every 20 seconds or so, I think it's only when I stand still though, that can't be normal can it?
Could it be that the character design for this game's serie is the same one who designed the characters for the Dragon Ball manga serie? They look REALLY similar.
I'm sorry, is a professional orchestra with absolutely no electronic editing not enough of a work of art for you? Is the sound of actual people playing actual instruments too beautiful for you to comprehend? In a world of electronically made music, it's nice to know that the people who made this game at least care about a decent soundtrack. And yes, it is just you. DQ8 would be horrible to play on the PC- the control format for the game would be a nightmare to go through on a PC.
Sorry what I meant is this is a rated T game for a lot of reason's but I just don't like it in DQ8 I don't hate the music it self, and I did'nt mean to sound like an ass sorry... :(
Oooh, ok, I thought you were just saying that to hate on the music, but you actually raise an interesting point. It's rated "T", yet it's musical score is more of that for a lower-rated game. Mkay, apologies all around.
@VyseElric: Haha, indeed! Skies of Arcadia one of my biggest favorites of all time! Considering of buying this as well.. DQ8 art style and characters look awesome and even realtime day/night cycle. Really want to check it out. Great gameplay clip too.
Ha! Dhoulmagus is the least of your worries my friends. Loved this game so much (which is probably why I'm watching this walkthrough 2 years after the fact)
the voice actors, for the most part, were absolutely perfect in this game....i dream of the day where zelda will have voice acting equal to or better than this. i'd also have to say that this game is right up there with ocarina, BUT ocarina has a slight edge cuz of it's nostalgic factor. thanks for the doing this walkthrough dude, much appreciated.
I actually disagree. Some of the voice acting in the game is in the range of completely monotone(King Clavius) and piss-poor(Ishmari) but for the most part it's good. LoZ will never have voice acting because without voices, the characters are much easier to relate to(This is also the reason the Hero of this game dosn't have a voice and the same reason the player in the Pokemon games dosn't have any dialogue). Ocarina wins for me because it's a superior game.
well poo on you then....i just think the voice actors fit their characters for their most part. i also think voice acting for zelda is being seriously considered for the upcoming game. if the actors had dialogue like this and spoke as frequently as this, i would have no problem with it. of course, link wouldn't talk [although, i often wonder what'd it sound like and how i'd feel about it if he had the right voice actor for the part].
Giving voice acting to the Legend of Zelda series would ruin it for me in a way. For any character. They(Nintendo) have had multiple chances at giving these characters voice acting, but they didn't because that would ruin the effect that no voice acting has in the series. I hope they never have voice acting because I just know that some idiot would screw it up; a la Sonic the Hedgehog.
well....maybe they could start out small and if that goes well, upgrade the next time around. i just get tired of having to read what the characters say instead of hearing them. there's arguments for both sides though. i think they should try it out and see how it does.
Miyamoto's already going to make an easy to play game franchise even EASIER by dumbing it down for the new casual gamer audiance: He's already lost my respect. If he includes voice acting in it, then I'll have lost any respect for Nintendo I ever had. The reason you don't include voice acting in a Zelda game is because it dosn't need it. It's never needed it. So why now?

thanks for the upload it brought back memory's. It's a shame that this first quest of the game has more of a story line than most JRPGs today.

I think I know why Valentina thinks King Trode is a creature that grants wishes, that damn guy looks like a bloody namek.
DarkBlocker 2 years ago
... Does that make her racist to assume that all Namekians have their Dragon Balls/Dragon with them at all times?
VyseElric 2 years ago
Well to me, King Trode looks like a mini version of Guru (The giant fat Namek) who created the namek dragonballs.

Ah, that explains the lack of town ransacking then. Although some walkthroughs value showing where all the items are.
GeneralNerd 3 years ago
I do, however, see the benefits of doing that as it's not very entertaining to watch someone walk around a town picking up items.

Hey VyseElric
Can you reupload those video's i like them but i can not look at them anymore
I like DQ8 So can you reoupload them

There isn't a "best weapon"; it's how you use it. But by pure strength alone: Swords, hands down.
