I saw the scales for this and Umbriel on your website; how did you derive these scales? To me it looks like you picked a small number of tones from a 31-limit diamond, but then why the 8/3 repeat ratio?
@DreamTK The tones were picked more for musical purposes than from a derivation process. I typed in tones from the top of my head until I had a set which I liked the sound of. I like composing in scales with non-octave repeat ratios because I think they sound nice.
Umbriel's scale was created through the same process but it still repeats at the octave.
i think it's funny when i comment on these videos and i see numbers that are very close to harmonious numbers.
