Hmm... I do like netbooks but the early eee pc just had a way to small keyboard but good job showing off how fast linux may detect devices.

Just bought a brand new one but... does anyone know why the WiFi is so slow? It takes like one hour to download a 30MB file at the fastest places I've been to.  At a cofeeshop last night my friend was able to download the same file at a 1.5 minute while for me 10 times slower. PLEASE HELP!

Maybe you didn't have a good wifi signal or the wireless card you have installed may only be a 802.11b wirless card instead of a 802.11g or 802.11n

that defeats the whole purpose behind this pc, its not supposed to be a regular laptop like you're describing, it's supposed to a computer that you can take with you without worrying about weight or size and still be able to perform most basic tasks

i like it but why did they design it with a 2 inch border around the screen?

The border does a few things, to the left and right of the screen are stereo speakers, on the tip is a webcam that is optional on some models. plus the smaller screen = cheaper price.

The mouse is definitely Logitech. You can clearly see the logo on top of it. You could try and find this type of mouse on their website.

Actually probably better than a windows machine - on a Win32 machine you would probably get som anoying "new device" popup.
