playback?! did you people not notice matt's improvisation at the solo???? he usually does a jam with the kaoss pad but it malfunctioned somehow...and he just on the spot, came up with a decent riff which is genius! the studio version didnt have that kind of solo, so obviously it is NOT playback!

@raggabass lol thanks to twilight muse are associated with a 13 year old fans, thats a shame but one we can live with. The writer of that book thanks these guys over and over for creating such brilliant music that she apparently listened to for inspiration. Muse have been headlining since before that series. Its only disappointing that most of there much better work is being overshadowed by 2 songs that appeared in that movie.

The fact that you first knew about Muse thanks to Twilight doesn't mean the rest of the world met them thanks to Twilight. Many bands played second stage at festival concerts for them years before Twilight. You just have to watch the Hullabaloo, Absolution and H.A.A.R.P. dvds to get an idea of how BIG they already were before Twilight.

ya know whats great is he ad-libbed that blues solo and he never does improv! he even studied flamenco when he was first learning and i think its a shame he doesn't flash some different sides of his guitar skills!

Matt was asked what he thought about another member singing a song or two. He replied by saying that it'd be wonderful because he'd be able to do something a bit more fun. Then he stated that singing and playing guitar has the drawback the one of the two would suffer in quality. In this case, he chose to put more effort into singing as he could carry off enough of a rhythm on guitar to be catchy.

I agree with you, though! I'd love to hear what he could do given the chance.
