Can you blame him? That team was horrible for quite a few years, and Richard Childress, as much as I admire him, was an absentee owner a lot in that time, and was not as involved as he should have been.

After these criticisms from KH, and the talks he had with RC, and threats to go to a different team if changes weren't made, the 29 has been one of the top teams since the start of 2010.

This is a team sport, period. No matter how good the driver is, the rest of the team has to be good too.

@bigmrclean Jimmy spencer is a fat, pig who couldn't even drive Busch series. If you've ever went to a race,they all bitch about their cars. They're in a very intense situation,they have no half time or breaks. They don't all talk to their owners like that, but Harvick is different. He's Childress's best driver and pretty much his only chance at a championship,so what Harvick weants,Harvick should get.

I know people on the inside of the sport and know things that really go on in this sport that you have no clue about. He talks to his crew chief like he's a piece a trash when one little thing goes wrong. Intense or not they get paid 12 million dollars a year to do what they're doing. Kids and everyone can hear what they're saying. Jimmy Spencer would brake Harvick in TWO.

Even announcers have stated that it seems like since 2003 or 2004, Richard hasn't truly involved himself in the business as much as he should. Hell, I remember one time during the chase a couple of years ago, while everyone was racing, Richard was hunting in Mongolia. WTF? But not anymore, Richard buckled down and said, "Hey, I could easily lose one of the top 5 best drivers in the sport, better get my head outta my ass."

The problem with RCR is that they have cycles. They run like shit and Kevin threatens to leave and they run god the next year. That has happened 3 times since Kevin has been there. He is a champion caliber driver and after this year I consider him a champion. In the old points system he would have won by 285. The chase is a joke. If it were in place since 75 Earnhardt would have only had 5 cups and Jimmie would have 6 alrdy. RCR just needs consistency year to year.

Also you can't say that Earnhardt would've only had 5 because under the old system if the points leader had a large lead at the end of the season they would race very very conservatively, therefore making any comparison to the chase format irrelevant .

Kevin Harvick is easily one of the top drivers in the sport. If you go to tracks like Bristol, Martinsville, Phoenix, Richmond, etc. and can't put Kevin in an abiltiy to win those races 90% of the time, then you know your organization is FUCKED UP

Races 352 (1979-1990) Wins 48 T5-159 T10-230, avg. start 12.0, avg. finish 11.1, 4 championships; (avg. start and finish for D. E. was for career 676 starts); I know Earnhardt was the best, but Harvick couldn't hold his jock strap. Very average driver.

apparantly Harvick had a point, after ditching the 4rth team and consolodating resources look at what hes been able to do with Richard making good management decisions with equipment....that being said, I think its retardly insane to bring Paul Menard over but whatever, different circumstances this time. Kevin was just lettin off steam here, there is no doubt he is a talented driver and 2010 the RCR/EGR engines have gained on HMS. I dont see him going anywhere, many say SHR for a 3rd car but I see Kahne there myself. If he left he should run his own cup team. He has proved he can excel in the other series as a owner.

RCR has been struggling mightily as of the last few seasons. If you consider RCR a top tier team then you should also consider the ten year old next door to be a top-tier auto mechanic.
