Can you use the Ipod touch 8gb (i dont know what gen it is) and does the dock have to be connected to a speaker to play music and does it have to be connected to a computer and does it charge back up and sync your ipod? please reply !!!

I bought a new ipod mini dock (probably 6 years ago it came out) for £2.69 on ebay!

It works great with my ipod nano 4th Gen =D

u can hock ur ipod up to any tv or laptop anyspeaker system as long as it has a earphonejack input all u do is put the jack into ur tv and ipod and play a song and ur rocking it out like never bfor look at my videos and ill post 1 to show u guys

Apple's website CLAIMS this dock supports video. However, I have tried 2 different universal docks. The older version apple sold 2 yrs ago has an S-video port. That one worked and supports video. I tried to use apples newer dock that requires their $30 AV cable and could not get video to go through to the TV. I tried on two different TV's using an iPhone 1st gen, an iPhone 3G, and a 160 gig iPod video. The results were alawys the same- S-vid dock worked, new universal dock is a piece of crap.

Is the menu button on the remote supposed to act the same as the menu button on the ipod? Mine does nothing when i press it on my remote...
