thats the wrong connector for cpu.. the correct one is located "top-right" hand corner of where the CPU is actually installed... that connector is intended for a system fan, as recent cpu fans have 4 pin connectors, (2 for power, 1 for rpm reporting, and 1 for control of fan speed)
oww, well if you have to, and you happen to have an older fan with a 3 pin clip, you can pull those little connectors out of the clip with a little flathead and put the 3 you need in a 3pin clip and cover the 4th with some electrical tape, although this appears to be a somewhat old clip so i'm sure you have figured something out by now.
