Assuming this plays like the Mustaine sig VMNT, this is one awesome guitar. The neck is the best I've played, alongside my Explorer, and the pickups are great when clean, and amazing distorted.

I really like the shape of this, its as much like an Explorer as the VMNT is like a Flying-V - i.e. reminiscent, but unique.

It was just an idea but I guess what you could do but it would be really difficult is get the pickups switched around so that it wouldn't sound weird but when jimi hendrix did it, it really made his guitar sound unique but you never know though. I would see if you could get left handed guitar pickups for it and then switch the guitar and strings around and possibly you might have yourself a left heanded VMNT Angel Of Deth. but idk man

I love but hate this guitar. Its a great guitar cause well its a Dean and I like Mustaine's signature. I also love explorers. They look sharp and are confortable to play while sitting or standing. But I dont like its an explorer with Dave's name. He never used explorers til now I guess. He uses Vs and thats what hes knowns for. They should have brought to Dean the Axxion model if you ask me. But with sharper edges.

Its really kick ass and instead of this explorer wannabe they could have brought the axxion. Leave explorers to ESP I say since Gibson is always trying to rip us off.

you only need to change them every month or 2 if you play a lot, the battery only drains when you have a cable in.

I bought a Dean Razorback V 255 "Blades" which hasnt arrived yet but for that price range i could get a Jackson RR24 which would actually be even a bit more expensive and only comes with an EMG 81, wtf!? Even the Bc Rich KKV brings an EMG 81 plus an 85! Jacksons are good guitars if you buy the cheap or the most expensive models, in between they are not that good. Ibanez sucks and you can't get an ESP for less than like 1500€ at least

@3dDuke I Never use my nbeck pickups anyways so i could care less, my matt tuck has two pickups, 81and 85 as well as many of the rr3 rr5's have both neck and vridge pickups, bcrich's are just aweful to me, i own 3 ibanez's and they kick the shit out of any dean ive played, and believe me ive played alot of them, despite what mustaine say's they all feel cheap to me compared to almost every other guitar company out there

@DOUGLAS300000000 Well I've played a 500€ ibanez and a 300€ jackson rhoads and the jackson despite being cheaper felt more like it to me, I dont like Ibanez, nor asian guitars their not as good in my opinion, its just a matter of how used you get to the guitars, as for my Dean it has Dimetime and Dimebucker pick ups, you should know Mustaine has an Ego of the size of the world, from Dean I only trust on guitars under Dimebag name because he was really good and sounds like he knew more than dave
