I wish the director didnt make them do the accents, they're really not necessary and it would have been better without. Actors study accents for years before performing them onstage, especially in a musical D: It's unfortunate so many amateur productions think the video version is something they need to be a carbon copy of. ALSO HOLY COW WOOD BLOCK. But certainly a decent performance from high school kids. :3

it would appear they liked the film however this is an excellent performance and tbh the film chorography is the best ive seen so it was actually very clever to copy some moves

I wish my school's Theatre program had enough money to put on this show... It'd be so fun to build the set, do costumes, and most of all perform. But, the school board here apparently doesn't think we're worth funding, even though we kick butt at our contests every year, so we get next to nothing. :/

same thing here. The best thing our school has is its drama program, everyone agrees on that, but no one agrees on the funding, so they decided to take it away...all of it. We have to do alot of fundraisers now

I don't know if I would say the drama program is the best thing at our school, but we're one of them. And we got $1600 this year, but if the new principal gets what he wants, everyone but football will get zero funding, even though our football team sucks. Correction: the coaches suck.

it was pretty good for a high school production, but i was disappointed that you guys used the movie score and choreography. be creative, people! characterization leaves a lot to be desired, but really, it's high school. what do you expect with such a demanding show and small talent pool?

This was pretty good. The choreography was a near perfect copy, which is hard because your compared to the movie. I was Mungojerrie in my high schools show. our number was a little more intense,but we had a great choreographer. Good job. Look up Carolina Forest- Cats

i did cats at my school last may, and i was mungojerrie and my friend was rumpleteazer at my school and even though we didnt have the cartwheel we copied the choreography to a "t" i have to say this was an ok performance.

Its really good, but as for that whatever instrument that makes that knocking sound, where you pound on the wood block, AGH!!!! NO WOOD BLOCK! Other than that I liked it alot.

yeah the camera was pretty crappy and the song was a bit fast but that was most likely because of performance time. Can't have it too long.
