  • God I really, really miss Clive Bull on LBC. His voice got better with age I think. Rainbow George was one of my favourite callers :-)

  • Clive Buller Ranking ding ding dahhhh........xD

  • This brings back memories of being 12 and going to school like a zombie as I'd been up half the night listening...

  • Bring back Bobs tea break!

  • He does not sound anything like that now, and now he is mysteriously missing :(

  • Think I remember that ;-)

  • Loved Clive's show in the early 90s. I would fight the sleep to stay up and listen. Perhaps my fondest memory is when Babs in Bermondsey called, terrified of a spider in the corner of her bedroom. I remember Clive was making fun and taunting her, leading her to say the immortal words "I'm gonna come up there and bleedin' well sort you out!" Had me in stitches.

  • clive was quite handsome!

Clive is amazing. Stll got it after all these years.

  • Clive is the king!,others i liked to listen to at night...James Whale, Ian Collins, and the Legend..Robbie Vincent,I have respect for all of these presenters...I wish Clive would use the old jingles again.

  • Rodway in Belgravia! Daaaaah, Hello there Clive, how are you?! Hahaha

  • I will always remember a few years ago when the producer use to create the podcast on the last 30 minutes of the show, 12.30 - 1AM and so nobody was there to screen the callers...the people who called up then were hilarious.

Now, I find the topics slightly boring and its not much of a 'conversation' any more, for example, everyone was just ringing up and saying where they were stuck on the roads when all the snow fell...bit boring after three hours.

  • James Whale started doing this sort of late night radio phone-in way back in 1974 on Metro Radio. He was by far the best I've heard.

Clive Bull's show sounded a complete load of bollocks when this programme was made. And he himself looked an asshole.

  • James Whale is awful. And you making personal comments about Clive is disgraceful... Clive is a decent bloke and if you don't like his program then don't watch this video. James is like Nick Abbot but more moany. To be honest if you like James then fine, but don't slag off other presenters.

  • I remember the "talent" shows - one time someone rang up and played a record they'd bought down the phone, and another time somebody danced down the phone. Hilarious memories.

Ooh, and Country Ramble and Murder After Midnight...

  • That country ramble thing was so boring; but I liked murder after midnight. I used to like Michael Van Stratton's show too....and Mike Allen's dating show.

  • WOW this brings back some memories. I am sure I recognise the voice of the first woman.. I think she used to call from Reading. I also remember Therese Birch.. and Dave Luddy. Used to LOVE Babs from Bermondsey, Martin from Hammersmith; Betty who used to recite those poems, and there was an American guy that used to ring in who had macaws! It used to be addictive!

  • Was it Babs who had an LBC shrine in her living room?

And ooh yeah, Betty from Beckenham - and what was the American bloke's name? He was always going on about his birds. And there was another bloke who would ring up and comment on something, then ring back later or next night pretending to be someone else and disagree with himself.

  • Oops 'Clive Bull'. Damned phone :)

  • Was it Clive Bulk or Mike Allen that used to have the report from the country? If anyone knows the name of the piece of music that accompanied that report I'd appreciate it!

  • Clive is the best presenter ever lol

  • i agree :)

  • I used to love Babs from bermondsey and that mad guy who loved sci fi from the tottenham court road. those were the good old days.

  • Oh yes. That was Adrian from the Tottenham Crt Road ;-)

  • HI thanks for uploading. Can you remember the name of the American guy who used to call in regularly? He used to have a couple of macaws. He was very laid back, and always seemed to have sound advice for people. It's been bugging me.

  • i like babs from bermondsey too...i used to listen to through the night every night years ago but i rarely listen anymore...its not as good as it used to be.

    how is babs these days?

  • what happened to babs?

  • @narinoamor

"Stop recording me, Clive" - Babs in Bermondsey...........

  • LBC is by far the best London radio and Clive is my favourite presenter!

  • Clive Bull is a genius!!

  • clive bull is the reason why LBC is great, and sundays triple M lol

  • Globule. BOING. BOING. Interpretationnnn. BOING. Globule.

  • Was this made as an advert for LBC. I recognise Georges voice. Love Clive he seems so nice.

  • George is an apologist for fascism and jihad. He ran a front organisation for the Saddam Hussein regime (and was paid with money which he KNEW had been stolen from the Oil For Food Programme).

  • Is this the documentary Clive was talking about where he gets sacked at the end?

  • Very cool. I'm 32 and have always had trouble sleeping without a bit of noise that's happily a bit interesting to listen to if I can't get some kip. Clive Bull sorted me out for that quite nicely in my teens. As it is, I still love his show. He DOES seem to be a friend and he DOES seem to care.

  • can relate to that, but sadly LBC has changed for the worst. I'm sick of hearing from some BORING callers who repeatedly call to try to get a name for themselves.

  • Because LBC religiously screen callers, the same old BORING fuckers get through all the time: Nigel from Temple Fortune, and Jim from Bromley for instance. Not to mention the unqualified has-been ex Apprentice A-holes they now employ.

  • wow george still calls in now!

  • Mmmmm is it Phil Collins or Clive Bull?!

  • I think it's probably Clive. Phil lives abroad and says he won't return to this country until the Labour government has been ousted and a Conservative one instated.

  • wow I had no idea george from hampstead had been calling in since then, that's almot 20 years ago.

  • globual

  • Very nice to see Clive rather than just listening to his LBC podcasts. Thanks to poster.

  • so glad you posted this! thanksX
