  • That is it

  • Beautifully sung Colm, C'mon Mayo give us that long awaited big day in Croker so we can all join in the celebrations

  • I remember the last time Mayo won the AI, 1950-51, an old friend Willie McVeigh [RIP] was in goals for Armagh in the 1950 Semi-Final, and he remembered the late great Tom Langan starring at full forward.

This was the greatest Mayo team, still held in awe by old Armagh men.

  • UP MAYO

  • My great-great-grandparents emigrated from Count Mayo in 1848. I visited there and found the old homestead in 1999. Part of my heart is in Ireland. Were I not American, County Mayo would be my home. BTW, Grace O'Malley hailed from the County Mayo as well!!

  • Muigh Eo go deo!

  • both my parents are from mayo. iam from dublin have cousins all over the world. england north and south america. italy belguim and austrailia. and mayo still thank god. thats every family in the counties story. up the mayo and up the men and women of rosspost standing up against curruption and treason. tiocfaidh ar lá

  • I got to hear one of the women of Erris sing this song. It was the most beautiful song I'd heard my entire time in Ireland.

  • I LOVE MAYO....

    i was born in Mayo...

    il die in Mayo..

  • Great song and a fine singing voice. Also touches the chord of family history: great-grandmother came from Ballyhaunis in a time of great poverty there. Her descendants have done well and prospered to be sure- but we know that those dreams fulfilled have been watered by many tears. This song is a great reminder of what was lost, and what we've gained.

  • Very true Ben, the genocide didn`t quite succeed we are still here. thanks for the comment.

  • thank you sophiecat.

  • I really like this song. I think it's because it's very pure and simple, My mother was from Keelogues and , as a child I saw these places in my mind, as she talked about them frequently,

  • No way, which Keelogues?

    Ballyvary or Islandeady?

  • Ballyvary

  • Found this video while looking for video of Ballyvary. My Grandfather who's a Costello is from Ballyvary. Looking for any good videos of Ballyvary? I would really love to see the area were my family lived.

  • @dbasq1 ballyvary

  • Hi, This is such a beautiful song. My father passed recently and we are in the midst of planning his funeral. We would dearly love to use this song as part of the service, as he was from Belmullet. Is it at all possible to get this as a file sent to me?

Thanks so much for your trouble,

    Margaret
