  • What a fun concert -- and a great opening. I was there!  He was amazing -- and he still is. I know of no one else who can sing the variety of songs that Clay sings.

  • I am a massive U2 fan. And this is a disgrace. The musical performance is alright, and the singing isn't horrible (but not great either), but this masterpiece of a song was meant for greater things than this. He walks around w/ the energy and mannerisms of a 1940's crooner (check out the cutsie sly little pointing thing he does at 2:10 for example). Other times his mannerisms are like a bad Thanksgiving parade musical production (2:33 and following for example). Ugh!

  • Great job by Clay. Bono would be pleased. These two men are so much alike. They are not only performers, but devote their lives to making a difference in this world. Both are beautiful souls and we are blessed to have them in our lives.

  • I love how Clay sings this song. I like U2 very much. Always enjoy their music. But, Bono, is a good singer. Clay is a great singer. Clay actually has a real voice, and can sing the notes, and stay on key. HE is the best male voice out there. He can sing any song, from any genre. And, this is no way a diss to Bono. They are a great band. Without the band though, Bono would be just an ordinary singer. He's good. he's not fantastic. And, not only can Clay sing, he is the ultimate performer.

  • I like the song but I don't think that Bono is the only one who can sing it. Clay makes this song soar. He adds a whole new level to it. U2 has a great sound but Bono is no great vocalist in my opinion. I would prefer Clay with U2 backing him....that would be a great show.

  • Bono wrote the song. They are his words.

    Clay What'shisname probably has no idea what the song is about. It's essentially about heaven- a place where the streets have no name and we are all equal in the eyes of God. At least according to Bono in "U2 by U2".

    Aiken is a fine singer, but noone performs this like Bono, Edge, Adam, and Larry. I've seen it live many times and it still send chills up the spine.

  • The real shame is that Kelly and Clay are such wonderful friends. Clay has much more generous and forgiving fans though (they never DISS Kelly like her fans do to Clay). They just have a lot more class.

  • wow, I still get chills up my spine when I see him do that song. The place just went crazy when he entered. Pay no attention to kelly's little fans here...children must play. It's been three years and they still can't get over the fact that Clay outshone their Yelly.

  • U2 is an amazing band that precious few can touch. Have you heard this version by MercyMe? I think they really did a good job with it just like Clay. It's not bad :)

  • I thought this was cool that he started out with this song. I personally love U2 and didn't think he boatched it at all. Plus, it was a treat to hear him sing one of my fave bands songs (it'll due til I see Bono and the boys LIVE)

  • You can't really compare the two singers, they are both so different, their voices and ranges. He does an excellent job, although no one can really duplicate Bono. I liked it.

  • You know, y'all are just jealous that he can actually sing the song flawlessly and Bono can't Bono's got that scratchy throat and has trouble with half of the notes. Bono's a lot more hype than he is talent. Don't believe me? Listen to Bono performing this from Super Bowl 36 (Rams vs. Patriots). U2's a good band and WTSHNN is a fantastic song, and Bono is a great humanitarian, but he doesn't quite have the voice that Clay does.

  • Wow, it's like Karaoke with a bigger production budget. Maybe he should try writing his own songs instead of butchering those of others.

    At least a few props to his anonymous guitarist, who manages to approximate the guitar tones on this song without it sounding embarassing.

Go watch music videos of your favorites. We don't go search other artists and bash them. Just let us enjoy it, and all of you should do the same with your favorite artists.
