I dig Stevie Pilgrim and PW's current band is sharp as ever... I especially like Andy Lewis' bass work but I have to say, I do miss the power and precision of Whitey on the skins.
for me the jam was a way of life and i cant imagine life without them i saw them 45 times they are true musical legends long live paul, bruce and rick. steve gardner jamboy from burnage manchester .long live the mods
@ryangardner08 mate you've hit the nail right on the f****** head there,i've been listening to The Jam for 32 years or so now and they still mean everything to me. It'll never leave you,and why would you want it to. great post m8,good luck and peace.
That's a fair comment yeah, instead of 5 o'clock hero. Get a fookin campaign goin; an on-line petition and send it to his web site, he could re-record both of 'em and put 'em out again with his latest line-up. You would become a national fookin hero if it came off.
Now I think about it probly would of gone down well on totp, but its far better live than on The Gift. Yes it was better than 5 o'clock hero but there are many great Jam songs that never got released. eg Pretty Green to be someone. If it got released today it would deserves a nobel prize for capturing the world as it is.
I love his green fred perry...oh and the song's kick ass too

Always thought that this should have been a single (double A-side with Happy together anyone?). Would have made No.1 in 1982 and even today!

Fcking right... '82 was a great year for me musically.. The Jam spliting up was a low point, obviously but all came good in the end!
