the earth expands because it is alive. why is that so hard to beleive? grass and tree's grow from its ground. liquid water. if I injest energy(food) I will gain in mass. its all physics and common sence :D

Sounds logical. Yet, you stop growing at some time. Also, there is a difference between us and heavens- though the function principles are similar; the Chinese know: human body is considered "small universe" and the heavens "big universe".

Anyway, according to some of the EU proponents and adherents, planets such as our earth are born of electric fission, that is, it's "born" from a sun/gas giant. Earthquakes and continental shifts do not necessarily require a growing planet.

@faze3todd That's a myth. They appear to grow because the body becomes so dehydrated but they do not grow.
