Sir Nicholas Winton was only one of several people responsible for the rescue of Jewish and other refugees from Prague in 1938-1939. No less credit should go to Doreen Warriner, R G Stopford and Trevor Chadwick who ran the Winton operation at the Prague end for four months, remaining there for three months after the Nazi invasion. As Sir Nicholas has said "he did the more difficult and dangerous work after the Nazis came in...he deserves full praise".
