  • great car..no rust

  • @ratbert86 I must be retarded. I bought my dad's '79 Mercury Zephyr and restored it. The only tail lights I could find were the vertical ones at a junkyard and their was only one Mercury Zephyr there. I just looked on Wikipedia, and sure enough, they're horizontal. Any idea where I can find an in-expensive (preferably new) pair of vertical tail lights?

  • @jackielittle Did those tail lights come off a Zephyr?

  • @jackslater230011

Nope, those are Fairmont tails. Zephyr tails go horizontally. I have a Durango I'm rebuilding and it's going to get Zephyr tails if I can find a good set.

  • ah just saw my first a day ago at a local car show, really cool car, just to bad ford didnt allow national coach to make more, really cool car wouldve been a great truck to make after the ranchero retired.

  • Tonight I went to a car show and saw a 1981 Ford Durango for the first time. I didn't even know they existed. It was a straight six. This one in the video is a beauty. I wouldn't doubt it's one of the fastest.

  • i always knew that model was perfect for a "ranchero" but never knew ford felt the same!
