I don't care what anyone says about Eddie Vedder and Co., this band is still worth the price of admission of seeing...this band still kicks butt nearly or after 20 years of non stop albums and sold out concerts. All grungeheads in Seattle should be very blessed that Pearl Jam is still around, not to mention Sonic Youth. [2]
@CUNTSMUGGALER you sir need to do a little more listening, the music in this song TOTALLY sounds like Zeppelin 3. This is coming from someone who has obsessed over Zeppelin for over 20 years. Influence is clearly thee.
@HerSilkScarfGagsMe This song was written before Elliott Smith died--Eddie dedicated it to Elliott at a live performance after Elliott died... "For anyone who doesn't know" lol. Ps This is coming from a huge Elliott/PJ fan.
Took me a while to really open my ears properly to these guys. But don't think I'm crazy for that...Call me nuts for thinking the last 10 years of their recorded output is better than the first 10 years. Not that I don't like Vitalogy or Vs. I just think this is the only band besides the Foo Fighters that made it out of the 90's as a viable rock force. There are simply NONE after them. None.
mannn .. i was like wtf which version is better, ukelele or this one and on second thught , i was comparing eddie .. both version is awesome .. truly king of grunge
Just another great song that shows how far can Pearl Jam go off from their former style, without sounding pretentious or fake. They can play anything that comes to their minds, it'll become a masterpiece anyway!
I agree with one comment below about how it's hard to choose a best Pearl Jam album - of course it's all opinion. I like Vitalogy the most: It's raw, grungy, and the songs overall feel have range. Song, Spink The Black Circle off Vitalogy, is Pearl Jam at its hardest and best. However, they have three albums I see as very underrated including No Code, Binaural, and Riot Act. Out of those three, Riot Act is best packed with catchy, unique songs.
Great song. It's hard to say that any one of Pearl Jams albums is "better" than any of the others because each one is a vastly different, new adventure. This album, however, is incredibly underrated which is ashame because it contains some of the best lyrical content that Vedder and Co. have produced. (Which is saying a lot) It's been a blessing growing up with Pearl Jam. I'm also grateful for their new material, and the universal feeling of hopefulness that accompanies it.
