  • Does anyone know what that small bass drum is ? Is it a custom bass drum or what ? It's so small..

  • @ryodhino Its called something like a Yamaha power bass or something, can't be bothered looking and thats from way back in my memory somewhere

  • See more on Steve Jordan on SoulDrummers . com.

  • i was at this concert!!!!!!!!!!! awesome drum solo steve jordan

  • Love it.

  • his hats totally kick ass

  • sooooooo awesome. so few people could play a solo like this. speechless. mr. jordan teach me to groove

  • what bass drum is he usingg ? sooo freeekin sexy..

  • @ryodhino He uses a Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute in a 16 inch.. possibly 18 inch .. it's hard to tell. Also he uses a subkick on the small bass drum.

  • @daveyj10 I meant what is that small bass drum ? is it electronic ?

  • Wow! With just bass snare and hats for the most part...abso-fucking-lutely amazing.

  • super bad...

  • now. in this sense, is bad good? or bad? cause really, this groove is so in the pocket its crazy

  • @BASSicallyGroovin oh I definately mean bad in a good sense. I was kind of referring to the song that they come in with eventually "Superbad" by James Brown. The title of that song is fitting for this whole video I think

  • @BASSicallyGroovin completly right!

  • "In the pocket" is a term used to describe drummers syncing up tight with bandmates. You can't play "in the pocket" by yourself. You can play alone in near perfect time however. Which, SJ is th best.

  • @Fenderstratman41 the band does come in about half way through tho, and plays til the end with him so he is? correct?

  • @BASSicallyGroovin Well if that's what you meant, which I don't think it is, since you said "his groove" is in the pocket. Either way, when the band comes in they would be in the pocket. nice try.

  • @Fenderstratman41 all right man, my bad, why don't we just enjoy his groove, then when the band comes in notice how in the pocket that groove is, sound like a good time?

  • @Fenderstratman41 of course you can play in the pocket by yourself - youre clearly a total moron
