"In the pocket" is a term used to describe drummers syncing up tight with bandmates. You can't play "in the pocket" by yourself. You can play alone in near perfect time however. Which, SJ is th best.

@ryodhino He uses a Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute in a 16 inch.. possibly 18 inch .. it's hard to tell. Also he uses a subkick on the small bass drum.
