I love the naivity ot some of these 80s vids; they have a really home-made, under-produced look about them, not stylised and airbrushed to infinity. As for the song, this was always my favourite Nik Kershaw song - you can almost hear early techno in this stuff and the likes of Howard Jones, Gary Numan . Real talent - these guys know the bones of music and how it 'works'.

I loved Nik and bought his first three albums but had completely forgotten this song. It's not especially commercial but totally original. He was ahead of his time, whatever that menas. Love it!!

Went to hear Nik in February at Vaerket in Randers, where he did an acustic concert - only Nik and his guitar (ohh - and his "orchestra"´... *LOL*). He was amazing!! He did an acoustic version of this song.. the waltzing Dancing Girls!! Very beautiful!!  If he is on tour on his own, go hear him!!
