This is like BMW saying, "I know, let's design an awesome sports car, but then ruin it by giving it a gigantic SUV body, a tall suspension, big tires, and so on." And people will buy it, sadly.

That's al lie. Infiniti is launching its EX. It's pretty much similar to this idea. The only big difference is this so-called X6 has two door.

Last time I checked it was a 4-door model.....Press photos as well as spy shots clearly show that.

last model I saw was a two door. I wonder if BMW has both. I like the X6 two door model. Gotta see how much. I drive 2007 G35 coupe and wonder if I should get the Infiniti EX this fall or wait for BMW X6... decisions, decisions.

BMW X5 front > midway back > Aston Martin look-alike slope of the rear hatch and fenders ( almost could be categorized as a a fastback cross-over ). Quite a different approach, but it just might work... definitely designed for the American market.
