I had the grand cherokee 4.0 petrol. twice the spider gears stripped, shite. the Jeeps are renowned for crap diffs. go around corners slowly.

Did you inspect the ring & pinion gears to ensure all the spider gear metal that broke off didn't damage the other components? It sure looks like a lot came off of them, even for the tiny bastards they put in the 35. That's a lot of high-speed shrapnel moving around in a diff. Hope it all turned out well.

Dana 35= GARBAGE Put a 44 under that thing with a spool. Never open it again.
