The Concerts was the first Hendrix album I bought around the same time. It blew my mind. Then I saw Woodstock on TV in 1984 - stuck a cassette recorder in front of the tv speaker and spent months playing it over and over, trying to learn! I'm going to re record this Hey Joe version - some folks on youtube have accused me of just miming, however, I AM playing along, note for note - my guitar is too quiet. I don't have TAB I'm afraid, can't really figure it out. Will do a video breakdown soon!

I first heard this version of Hey Joe around 1981 or maybe '82 when The Jimi Hendrix Concerts album was given to me for my birthday by my older brother. I was totally AMAZED when the police radio came through the amps and Jimi didn't miss a beat simulating it back. This is my all time favorite version of Hey Joe. Been playing guitar since 1975 and not sure what YOU are playing. Sounds most like the recording to me. Would love to see tab on this.
