It was a pretty good machine. There aren't too many things that I don't like about Hitachi's. But one thing I do notice is that the ones I've operated tend to get somewhat underpowered in the tracks after a while, at least with the EX series.
I've rarely seen a machine unloaded by anyone other than the driver. Usually it's already dropped off when I get there. This time the guy was running late.
@kimchiman1000 ha ha haha classic line.... my brother works on hitachi excavators a lot....... there pretty reliable machines, most common sizes you will find round my neck of the woods are ex60 ex100 ex120 ex130 and the odd 200 and some of the zaxis range in the same sizes..... hello from ireland by the way.
twisting the undercarriage without affecting the boom and body, is not a easy. the operator must have working with both his feet and hands. didn't notice the trailer jerk when the weight of the excavator goes away suddenly, probably the ground was leveled with the trailer height...
I probably forgot to mention it, but the full version demolition vid is posted over at livevideo(dot)com on my 'kimchiman' channel. It's about a half hour.
sexy machine, I was on one of these before I started operating a cat 325L.

I like the Cat better, except for how much fuel it drinks. Too thirsty. But I think they're a better production machine.

@kimchiman1000 Are you talking about how one track turns faster than the other? The ones I have been on all seem to do that

that quick change looks like the ones we used to run here

Number 1: Thats NOT the correct way to unload a lowboy.
Number 2: If your the operator why aren't YOU unloading your machine?

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

not a good move he unloaded the low boy sideways you can blow out airbags and stuff
AaronDittmer 2 years ago
One must blow one's air bags every so often. It helps keep the air bag manufacturers in business.
See? It's a 'good' thing!
lol

Was that the driver that unloaded his trailer? If it was He has seen you run that machine. I know allot of drivers like to unload their own trailers.
