Good movie. Thats pretty awesome you were able to film them filming the movie... who actually operates on those tracks and what the subdivision is called?
@60074KINGCLAG well from my understanding they were real life dummy units...they were shells on frames...and ya they did set them on fire for real...im not sure what they did after with them. I live in Canada so ...so that is the extent of knowledge i have on the production of the film
I spent some time in that area back in my college days in WV in the early 80's and it's a shame how that part of the country is all but forgotten now? The steel mills and coal mines made all of those river cities boomtowns back in the day! Is that old mill part of Weirton Steel or J & L Steel Corp? Very cool video, thanks for sharing. BTW, I have a copy of each locomotive in HO scale that I custom built myself. Had the decals made back east & they were perfect. Waiting for a display case.
This is my 6 year old's favorite movie!!!! We watch it at least 3 times a week and this is SO cool to watch from this perspective!!! Awesome job and thank you...can't wait to show my son!
I drive past this everyday. the rails pass my school and the teachers would let watch the train and helicopters pass in our free time. those pilots were amazing, you should of seen some of the stunts they did
thats funny. the movie is a story of something that takes place in PA, actually happened in Ohio and its filmed it ohio. why didnt they just set the movie in ohio?!?
@howardkevinm The movie scenes where shot in 4 different states. But it is a movie, They have to added or change the storie line to even make the movie this interesting and fun to watch
@HyperActive7 yea it was a stuntman doing that stuff ...his name was clay ...i was a extra in this movie i was there when they was shooting this scene i even ask clay if he gets scared doing stunts like that he said no he loves to do stuff like this ...can you believe loving that kind of work ...i told him he had a set of balls to do that kind of stuff ...and they re shot that scene over and over with clay doing that stunt over and over ..he acted like he didn't mind at all ..brave man....
@DSVetDad it was very cool ..and yea i did meat Denzel hes really cool and really nice ...and it was also sweet to see how movies are made ..being in this showed me how they use the actor and stunt man to do a scene ..it was great
@DukeNukem1011 That is SO cool. Matter of fact my 6 year old wanted to watch this movie this morning as I was leaving for work. We watch it at least once a week... Thanks for getting back to me.
both locomotive are CP rail AC4400,leased for the movie,on of the still get the paint on the front schelter(777 was CP 9782),but it's a vrey great chance to see a train on that bridge at this speed..
@p154831 yep it was just special effects....i live here i was a extra also and the train did not tilt to the side and if you watch the movie and you see big tanks one the right side of the bridge those tanks are not really there ....me living in this town and know what was really there and seeing how they made stuff look like was there was pretty cool...if i didn't live here i would have believed those tanks where there cause they did look real ...all that was just good special effects
@metraF40PH163 The bridge is owned by w&le, I get used about 2 times a day, sometimes 3. CSX runs a coal train that goes through here about 4-5 times a month.
@ohiosouthern Thanks for the info! It would be neat to see this neat bridge sometimes. I only live in northwest ohio so, I'll have to check this out in the future
@metraF40PH163 I'm sorry I'm not an HO person because I switched to O nearly six years ago. I think MTH would make good Premier Line recreations of the Unstoppable locos in O.
@LionelKid18 Thanks Heath, I was around for about 2 weeks when they were shooting down here, Wish i could of got more video but I was busy... Oh well. Thanks for watching!
