Wrong analogy. Suppose Keeton was a racial separatist and a person in an interracial relationship wanted her counseling services? Is she still entitled to her beliefs? ANY counselor is--more likely than not--going to have clients whose beliefs don't jibe with theirs. But if you want that career, be willing to DO YOUR JOB. Keeton and Ward are basically saying they could not see Jews, atheists, divorcees, single parents, etc.--which is ridiculous. In summary, STFU.
You're making a lot of people mad. John Wesley would question all of his church leaders, "Did you make anyone mad". If the answer wasn't "yes", they were doing something wrong. This was a great time in the remormation of Christianity. You must be doing something right. Good for you!
LOL your video is soooo stupid... homosexuality is as bad as rapists and murderers ? ur WHAT THE FUCK ? the bible also says you should beat your children if they answer back, if I beated my child black and blue and in the court of law said "my religious beliefs says so" they would laugh in my face, and rightly so... stop using the bible to justify intolerance, the universitys did the right thing... dreadful video !
The school was right by not allowing her to finish her degree, Just to sum it up as someone who is going for a Master's in psychology, there is a "Code of Ethics," she can still receive her degree and keep her beliefs, however, they school wants to make sure that she is capable of following her duties in the field. She refused to take the the classes so the school refused her degree. I do agree that the school made a mistaking with the "change your beliefs" statement. Tolerance not acceptance.
Sensitivity trying, really? Wow, that's just stupid, and after that forcing her to go to the gay parade? daaaamn.

It's ok to believe in the imaginary asshole in the sky, but it doesn't take a fucking psychiatrist to identify this type of irrational belief as a sign of mental illness. In conclusion, mentally ill individuals should NOT be in a position of authority and power when it comes to looking after the best interest of highly impressionable children.
The whole of the US and UK (jewish) media are so obviously a tool for social control, through their examples of the "normality" they seek for the human race. You need to be stupid not to notice it if you're an adult, as this is aimed at the next generation (aged 7-14). The heavy investing in movies, tv and popular music positive depictions of "alternative" sexual relationships and morality, followed by their rewarding with prizes is so blatant in that it is strange if you don't notice it.
@USAGymnast Well, it's not a choice, well, to those who get their panties in a bunch over a legal process of a repealing, seem to think it matters, now it's going onto the the 9th court or w/e, and then hopefully the supreme court.
@USAGymnast So, what makes straight people so entitled to it then? If it's not a right, it's a privilege, so what makes straight people so entitled, I'd like to hear a logical rational excuse for that one.
@USAGymnast Well, I'm all for monogamy, but who am I to tell another person what to do with their life, this is what this whole deal is about, people passing laws, to force people to live their way, allowing gay marriage doesn't stop straight marriage, if anything divorce is doing a number on that enough.
Blacks fought for their civil rights, as are gays, I looked up civil rights, & it's very much the same thing, only difference, blacks were about skin color, & gay marriage is about sexuality.
@USAGymnast Everyone can speak for themselves, do you think the LGBT community had someone helping them, no, they started their own activism, as did blacks, and all others who were denied equal rights at one point or another.

@USAGymnast Not to mention, trying to argue for bestiality marriage, is a illogical cause, since other animals, yes other animals, because humans by definition and species are a type of animal, can't sign a legal agreement for marriage, much less, do they have legal standing, and can speak for themselves, there is a difference between 2 willing, competent human beings being married, and a human and another animal getting married, sorry you can't see that.
@USAGymnast So, he still made a the choice, based on the Constitution, what part of that don't you get? Do I have to send a little Cessna with a flag on the back, to get you to get that?
Haha, ummmm, people who want to advocate for that, will do that, just like blacks advocated for their rights, the LGBT community are doing the same for their rights, if people who want rights for polygamy, etc. then they need to start protesting for those rights.
@USAGymnast I've made several videos on this recent feat in history, you're welcome to comment on them, if you do it a constructive manner, and not go on about this and that, or pour out old arguments.
@USAGymnast lol, the judge was known to be a conservative in the past, so, therefor as a Conservative he must hold up the Constitution, and he clearly says that religion can't make moral decisions or something like that, against a persons rights, per the Constitution, the 1st amendment.
What fucking personal agenda?
If you really think about it, we all have an agenda, and if ones agenda to give equality to all people, that's his right, but Constitutionally, Prop 8 was Unconstitutional, period.

@kenzaburo - So to you proof is only valid if it traveled through a court of law? Well then by that lack of reasoning, I guess you will have to prove to me you exist with "proof from a court of law."
Dick Cheney supports gay marriages. Remember Tony there are more conservatives are for gay marriages. But, each time it is in Congress which is close to re-election and cannot risk not getting re-elected. I know more Die Hard Conservatives Gay Christians than Liberal Gay Athiests or even Liberal Gays at that matter. Every Homosexual I have encountered is a Christian.
And, by no means this is blasphemous. There are undertones about Jesus and Lazarus and Jesus and Judas in The Bible.
@USAGymnast Because, as a gay male myself, I know it's not a choice, I've never been attracted to a girl, ever.
Well, people will use that little thing, to decide what rights, I get as a human being, today, Prop 8 in California, is supposed have it's ruling, as to being unconstitutional, I hope the judge is logical, and does find it so.
I live in a christian country and I've had all the christianity-related education in school but we never learned anything like christian beliefs are against homosexuality...? Maybe it's an american tradition rather than just christianity in general?
That said I think that the two examples are very bad cases of the attempt by public institutions to violate the freedom of speech.... very sad.
Victims of political correctness are not only Christians. It could be anyone for any reason. if could even be a person reading an anti-KKK book as shown by the following YouTube video:
Political Correctness vs. Freedom of Thought - The Keith John Sampson Story
@USAGymnast, my feelings are = to your freedom of speech. the rights of a minority are = to that of the majority.....read the bill of rights. if you can't understand the concept of RESPONSIBLE AND THOUGHT OUT SPEECH, the fault lies with YOU, not ME.
Homosexuality is wrong; it is not only a sin, but it is counterproductive to the continuance of the humane race. Counterproductive to the continuance of the humane race, that should clue you in that it is not right. Can it be fun? Yes it can. Can a person "be a homosexual" all of their life and still contribute to society in other positive ways? Yes they can. But that does not erase the fact that it is unnatural and harmful to our society in general.
@jbranstetter04 mr or miss branstetter, sin is a religious issue, and procreation is a moot point. and being unnatural is in the eye of the beholder.having said that, if this girl is going to be a "mainstream psychiatric counselor" then she must put aside any political, or racial,or religious biases away when dealing with the public at large
Propo...Our nation is not dead nor is it close to death.
That young lady should take those courses at Oral Roberts or a school that puts it's religion ahead of medicine. She obviously didn't do her homework when it came to choosing a school. If you value religious beliefs over medicine you should go to a fundamentalist school. Fat chance she's going to get a job in that field with that type of mindset anyway.
So this is democracy, the minorities (Racial, sexual, religious, ect) have the advantage while the rest of the nation has a disadvantage. This is happening across the world slowly, Canada, Europe (Especially U.K to what i can recall from the top of my head.) are having an influx of political correctness. Is it due to the sake of civility and human rights? I guess they are ignoring the right to free speech for the right of non-offensiveness to said and unsaid groups. Continued
Continued. And dealing against the human rights violators in this manner violates human rights further, look up the Canadian Human Rights Commission or the Commissars, as I like to associate the non-use of warrants with the Soviets. Not only is the manner of techniques they use a national disgrace, look at some of the cases they actually went through with. Hearsay is actually accepted....."Free speech is allowed, as long as someone does not object, especially us or minorities."-P.C
@fiveoclockz SO WHAT??! the very concept of the bill of rights was to give minorities equal say, protection, and rights equal to the majority. in other word, THE ABSOLUTE MAJORITY doesn't rule ABSOLUTELY
I support equal say, protection and ect. They get affirmative action and many other "equalizers" that in fact give them an advantage, does not make them equal in the eyes of the bureaucracy and politics. And referring to the human rights commission, only the "Disadvantaged" actually get cases reviewed and tried. I used to support them when they worked within reasonable bounds to alleviate discrimination when it came to work, housing and commercial disputes.
Cont. example, human rights commission in a workplace scenario, modern. One woman among many candidates applied for firefighter. She did not make the standard requirements and called the H.R.C and complained this test was impossible for women, and she won, got employed. There were other women applying with her at the time, they reached the requirements and got hired. Some men failed and were not hired. She was hired by gender. So is this fair and equal treatment? Tell me.
Acually, "GAY" is the Politically Correct term they apply to themselves. In TRUTHFULLNESS they should call themselves what they REEEEELLLY are SODOMITES, because they blatantly commit SODOMY and are PROUD of it,(GAY PRIDE ya know) however if they are so proud of it, Why don't they call it what it is SODOMITE PRIDE! This is what is really the INCONVENIET TRUTH!
Being FORCED to attend a gay parade (under the thread of being expelled) will not make her more tolerant towards homosexuals - if any it will make her less tolerant. Besides who says she was intolerant to begin with? Maybe she respected gays just fine and just said that it's against Christianity (which it is and that's really all she said). But after being expelled for having said that and being FORCED to attend a gay parade i could imagine her STARTING to become less tolerant of such things...
Well, she was just practicing her first amendment rights to believe and speak as he wishes. Could you imagine making, for example, Muslim students to go to Christian sensitivity training? Here again is a good example of do as I say...not as I do. Is there a double standard here? I think so. Its not about discrimination, its about her right to feel the way she does. By not allowing this, she is being discriminated against. This student clearly stated that she would follow all the guidelines.
@theothertoolbox, one thing, is she going to be a mainstream counselor...or is she going to be a "CHRISTIAN COUNSELOR" if she is going to be a mainstream counselor, then she MUST be trained to see past her own religion, and her religious beliefs.not all of her clients are going to be christians
@fearlessleader20101 So...if I understand you...I could send an atheist student hoping to become a counselor to church so that they come to understand Christianity better (because he/she might come into contact with a Christian). It just doesn't work this way. I wouldn't want to be forced to go to church just to pass a class. I wouldn't want to have to do anything that made me uncomfortable just to pass a class and start my career. Shouldn't matter what she believed, as long she does her job.
@fearlessleader20101 And...It sounds a little like indoctrination when you state "she MUST be trained to [insert anything she must do here]". NO ONE should be indoctrinated by anyone. Your argument is faulty.
@fearlessleader20101 If she had been Muslim...this would never have been an issue. Think about it...Muslims HATE gays...but ASU would have NEVER in a million years sent a Muslim to some gay pride parade if the Muslim student wanted to become a "mainstream" counselor.
@theothertoolbox doesn't matter. christian jewish, muslim. if she is to be a "mainstream"counselor she must leave her personal biases and prejudices at THE FRONT DOOR.
But Tony, don't you know, the Constitution is "outdated" and was written by rich Christian racist slave owners who only wanted to steal from the poor. It's a relic and has no relevance in a modern society.
They forced her to attend a gay event , even though they knew it was against her values ? IMO the school faculty needs to show her some sensitivity instead of acting in a "do it or get out" fashion . My two cents worth , & I wholeheartedly agree with P-Buster 100% , sacrificing one persons values in the name of supporting anthers is pure BS .........My two cents worth , & I wholeheartedly agree with P-Buster 100% ,
people have the right to feel what they want. But these days if you say one hateful thing the pc community will try to brain wash you . Christians get dumped on my libs all the time . mostly just a bunch of angry atheists who hate Christians so much they have a world war one memorial covered up because its in the shape of a cross .
while I dont agree with her comments about homosexuality, she has a right to express her views.this is becoming all to common and this kind of censorship must be stopped.
It's not the first time the GOV tried to banned music, movies & video games they find offensive. I think you know what I'm talking about Tony.
For example the porn industry there are people that want to eliminate it aka banned it out of America. But can't because of the First Amendment. LOL
I hate censorship the fact they always try to over do it & banned it There is a new tech. There is parental control on cable TV now. We don't need censorship like in the past.
@fearlessleader20101 Better than fat, ugly and progressive ones who don't give you a fuck anyway. Besides, normal men like good looking bimbo. That makes me believe you have weird sexual orientation.
PB, again i must correct you. It is on record that she has expressed her views against gays during and after classes. Some of her fellow students actually complained about her out spoken hate.
using the analogy of murderers and Rapists is flawed.. Both Murderers and Rapists have violated the law and have harmed others.
There are actually some Universities out there that require you to take sensitivity classes to obtain a counseling degree.
To add, i have to agree with you that she should have been forced to attend a Gay pride event. In doing so, you are forcing her to change her views on gays. Attending a sensitivity training does not make you change your viewpoint of the gays, it just teaches you to be less vocal about it.
@Ryoka242 - Sorry to disagree: in America we should not be less vocal about any non-violent views. This is the USA, home of big and loud mouths, and proud of it.
@PropagandaBuster Yeah, but big, loud, and ignorant is the combo pack that creates nothing more than headaches, and an overall nuisance. If you ever ask yourself why does the rest of the world hate the US, this right here is a pretty big part of it. If you tell yourself "Pff, I don't care for the rest of the world", well ok... if you really are selfish enough to inconvenience the other billions and billions of people to meet your one political view, then so be it.
@PropagandaBuster I don't see how you can use "used to be free enough" when it never existed, history has many examples of what I speak of, but I don't have the time right now to list them all for you.
@Ryoka242 No, Actually she didn't hate them she just pointed out that her RELIGION doesn't except it not her! and also BEING FORCED to go to a gay pride parade.
@halowarrior1000 If you look at my (cont) you'll see that i disagreed with the schools decision to require her to attend the gay pride event.
Actually if you listen to the students testimonies, you'll hear them say that she did not mention a religion, nor did she reference the bible in most cases.
This woman was being disruptive during class, and stated that all gays were sinners.
whats up with the freezing on here.. and i think homosexuality is wrong but you can't force anyone to turn from it they have to do it themselves.. But I think having her attend a gay pride parade or anything like that is just wrong thats gone to far.. FUCK YOU LIBERAL GOVERNMENT BASTARDS!!!!!
@SupportAlexJones You can't turn someone from being gay, unless you instill crap about it being wrong.
That's like turning someone away from liking a certain color hair, when they clearly don't want to, if I'm attracted to blonde hair over brown hair, who are you to tell me, what I can be attracted to, much less change my attraction to blonde hair, especially, when I naturally am attracted to blonde hair, if anything, that's trying to control other people.
We are witnessing bible prophecy fulfill itself..evil is exalted as good and good is being persecuted and condemned as evil..exciting times that we are living in.
The idea is as a counselor you have to be accepting of all people including murderers and rapists. Professionally because sometimes as a counselor you become a therapist. Somebody says they are gay you have to help them through it. Personally you can hate anybody. Does this make sense or where they going a little too far?
Good video. I don't agree with Ms. Keeton's view on homosexuality but I think the university went way too far by requiring her to attend sensitivity training and attend a gay pride parade especially the part about the parade.
These college universities have defended half-truths and lies by labeling them as "free speech" and have even allowed students to spread radical statist views but one decides to undermine the 1st amendment rights for one girl just cause of her views on homosexuality.
@Infantry9 I know homosexuality is wrong but I can't force anyone to like what they like so its there own choice if they want to sin and live in lust let them no one can stop them except themselves!!! pure and simple
@SupportAlexJones You don't know it's wrong, you believe it's wrong.
I can't say I know something is wrong, I can only believe something is wrong, unless it's widely accepted as wrong, like killing someone, is wrong, I know it's wrong, since most sane people will agree, and it's widely accept as wrong.
Who doesn't live in lust? Lust is a big sexual attraction, so I guess you don't lust over a person you're attracted to?
As for a choice, like you chose to stay straight? right?
@Infantry9 Actually, some universities require students who are seeking a Counsling degree or a teachers degree to attend a sensitivity Class. How this schools curriculum doesnt have it, i dont know why.
But i do agree forcing her to attend a Gay Pride event is going too far. Its not like attending such is going to make her change her view on homosexuals. Sensetivity classes will help her learn to not be public about her differenting viewpoint on gays.
Another sign our Republic is dead is the Financial Reform bill which allows the Administration to bypass Congress, the "healthcare" bill which turns our nation into a Socialist nation and puts our government in the healthcare & insurance business, the official designation of veterans, abortion opposers, Conservatives in general as the only terrorists in the world, and the new "Minority Report" executive order that allows the Admin. to put you in jail indefinitely without charge or appeal.
@foreskinforest of course they would have, It's not the religion it's the refusal to do the job, you can believe whatever you want, but if you're job is to council murders, then that's what you do... If you just want to make people feel bad, stick to the internet
i am not cristian, i am not gay, i dont care if people want to be gay. i do care that this young was penalized for just stating that a gay lifestyle does not coincide w/ her religions beliefs.
@dfcoinc One doesn't want to be gay, as in, a hobby, you are born straight/bi/gay, did you want to be straight, or was it just natural to you being attracted to girls? If you say you want to be gay, that means, they had the choice to stay straight, so that means you chose to stay straight, right?
I know some gays who will flip out over that, but as a gay male myself, it doesn't bother me, when someone says that, but I do correct people, when they do, but I won't be like F-this and F-that! lol.
No one has 100% free speech, free speech is a right, but the government treats it as a privilege, I'm an atheist, but would I want to silence a religious person, of course not, as long as one doesn't impose their belief system on me, then I'm okay with whatever you believe, granted, I think believing in a being solely based on a set of works by a group of primitive men is illogical, but nevertheless, it's not my right to judge a persons beliefs, nor is it anyones right to judge anyone.
But that does not erase the fact that it is unnatural and harmful to our society in general.
jbranstetter04 1 year ago
@jbranstetter04 mr or miss branstetter, sin is a religious issue, and procreation is a moot point. and being unnatural is in the eye of the beholder.having said that, if this girl is going to be a "mainstream psychiatric counselor" then she must put aside any political, or racial,or religious biases away when dealing with the public at large

Continued
fiveoclockz 1 year ago
@fiveoclockz
Hearsay is actually accepted....."Free speech is allowed, as long as someone does not object, especially us or minorities."-P.C
fiveoclockz 1 year ago
@fiveoclockz SO WHAT??! the very concept of the bill of rights was to give minorities equal say, protection, and rights equal to the majority. in other word, THE ABSOLUTE MAJORITY doesn't rule ABSOLUTELY
fearlessleader20101 1 year ago
@fearlessleader20101

Tell me.

Supenmanu 1 year ago
Well, she was just practicing her first amendment rights to believe and speak as he wishes. Could you imagine making, for example, Muslim students to go to Christian sensitivity training? Here again is a good example of do as I say...not as I do. Is there a double standard here? I think so. Its not about discrimination, its about her right to feel the way she does. By not allowing this, she is being discriminated against. This student clearly stated that she would follow all the guidelines.
theothertoolbox 1 year ago
@theothertoolbox, one thing, is she going to be a mainstream counselor...or is she going to be a "CHRISTIAN COUNSELOR" if she is going to be a mainstream counselor, then she MUST be trained to see past her own religion, and her religious beliefs.not all of her clients are going to be christians
fearlessleader20101 1 year ago
@fearlessleader20101 So...if I understand you...I could send an atheist student hoping to become a counselor to church so that they come to understand Christianity better (because he/she might come into contact with a Christian). It just doesn't work this way. I wouldn't want to be forced to go to church just to pass a class. I wouldn't want to have to do anything that made me uncomfortable just to pass a class and start my career. Shouldn't matter what she believed, as long she does her job.
theothertoolbox 1 year ago
@fearlessleader20101 And...It sounds a little like indoctrination when you state "she MUST be trained to [insert anything she must do here]". NO ONE should be indoctrinated by anyone. Your argument is faulty.
theothertoolbox 1 year ago
@theothertoolbox yes, SHE MUST,if she is to be a "mainstream counselor". it would be another thing if she only caters to a or her religious community
fearlessleader20101 1 year ago
@fearlessleader20101 If she had been Muslim...this would never have been an issue. Think about it...Muslims HATE gays...but ASU would have NEVER in a million years sent a Muslim to some gay pride parade if the Muslim student wanted to become a "mainstream" counselor.

Ryoka242 1 year ago

To add, i have to agree with you that she should have been forced to attend a Gay pride event. In doing so, you are forcing her to change her views on gays. Attending a sensitivity training does not make you change your viewpoint of the gays, it just teaches you to be less vocal about it.
Ryoka242 1 year ago

The idea is as a counselor you have to be accepting of all people including murderers and rapists. Professionally because sometimes as a counselor you become a therapist. And181377 1 year ago
Infantry9 1 year ago
@Infantry9 I know homosexuality is wrong but I can't force anyone to like what they like so its there own choice if they want to sin and live in lust let them no one can stop them except themselves!!! pure and simple
SupportAlexJones 1 year ago
@SupportAlexJones You don't know it's wrong, you believe it's wrong.
I can't say I know something is wrong, I can only believe something is wrong, unless it's widely accepted as wrong, like killing someone, is wrong, I know it's wrong, since most sane people will agree, and it's widely accept as wrong.
Who doesn't live in lust? Lust is a big sexual attraction, so I guess you don't lust over a person you're attracted to?
As for a choice, like you chose to stay straight? right?
CJCA915 1 year ago
@Infantry9 Actually, some universities require students who are seeking a Counsling degree or a teachers degree to attend a sensitivity Class. How this schools curriculum doesnt have it, i dont know why.
But i do agree forcing her to attend a Gay Pride event is going too far. Its not like attending such is going to make her change her view on homosexuals. Sensetivity classes will help her learn to not be public about her differenting viewpoint on gays.
