  • Why is the gum so red? Like if you see it! Btw I got braces. Their okay

  • @NatalieDumDooDumDum My apologies in advance - wanted to say that in addition to removing plaque/ bacteria that cause tooth decay, you are also helping yourself avoid gum disease & the problems it causes. I'm 32 y/o & as a result of brushing but not flossing too much when younger, I am now facing VERY serious & expensive surgeries. $10K alone for gum/bone grafting, which will help to keep my bottom front teeth from falling out as a re: of gum/bone loss. I don't want others to go thru this!

  • Its crazy that he can floss without using his hands.

  • i am so bad at flossing ha but my gums are getting puffy so i have to watch this a couple times so i get it lol and my gums always start to bleed/:

  • i'm not good at flossing :P sometimes it bleeds, but not often

  • does floss make your teeth have little gaps? Plz respond!!!! Im getting braces...

  • @4getmenot753 not that i know of...i have braces and i floss after ever major meal and ive never had a gap in my teeth

  • @4getmenot753 ohh i know what you mean. no it just gets rid of the plaque so it feels like there are gaps, but it's just clean teeth. nothing wrong with that

  • @4getmenot753 no, floss should slide inbetween your teeth and doesnt cause gaps. only if you keep something there, like a spacer, would a gap form

  • @4getmenot753 No, flossing does not create gaps between your teeth. Let me put it to you this way: I'm 32 y/o, had braces as a teenager & brushed but didn't floss much. Never thought gum disease would be in my future. As a result, I now have severe gum & bone loss, esp. in the lower front. When gums recede, the teeth become longer, and gaps (where the gum and bone should be, anchoring the teeth) become very noticeable. The moral: floss & you won't have gaps. DON'T FLOSS & U WILL HAVE GAPS!

  • i has superfloss :)

  • Is it really possible to floss PAST the gum line?????

  • @TheChills100 yea i do it all the time

  • @TheChills100 you're supposed to floss up into the gum line. food does get trapped until the skin. it's not attached there and so it shouldnt bleed. It may at first but it quickly goes away. Waterpiks clean the gumline with less irratation

  • @TheChills100 yes

  • @TheChills100 yes, if you have healthy gums you can floss past the gum lines. nasty i know but its hygenic

  • @TheChills100 Yes but its not the gum line, its the gum pocket, the gum line is the spot where the floss can't penetrate through anymore so do it carefully.

  • @TheChills100 i dont think so

  • @TheChills100

Yeah , U'll get use to it and it wont hurt if u do all the time. Its normal (=

  • @TheChills100 Yes, it's possible.

  • Thanks for posting that 2 thumbs up. I just got ice braces. They feel really comfortable. I wasn't sure if I floss right. Seeing your vid helped to double check I did it right. Thanks, robert
