hold the command button if you are on a mac and double click on the frame time to switch it. It worked for me.

I need to change the timeline to reflect measures and beats so I can sync my animations to a beat, like animating to 120bpm.

Without this, the animation features and usefulness of After Effects decrease greatly.

I've been using Sony Vegas 9 to created nested 'compositions' but it doesnt run as efficiently as AE.

How can I, if possible, change the timeline to 'beats and measures' equivalent?

how do i get the full timeline .. when i only see can see half the timeline of the video?

If you made a composition then added the video to the composition, the reason might be that your video is longer than your composition. To fix this go to Composition-->Composition Settings and enter the length of your video at "Duration"

thanks for the help.. was trying to find where to do that . its not so beginner use compare to the sony vegas. but im getting the hang of it now.

Thanks Man, I appreciate it. I'm still messing around with it and experimenting stuff up. It kinda sucks when your new to something like this and you want to learn it so bad but the little things that you just don't know how just bothers you.
