Some police officers did this in my city and really inconvenienced the bus driver and everyone on it. The emergency? There was a report that two high school students were going to fight after school. This potential school yard scuffle required 4 police cars with two officers in each.

It may seem petty and overly antagonistic, but that was actually very telling of how police authority is used in this country. Somehow, cops are above the law. It may be a minor law, but it is a law. Why should the police be any different?
