  • baddest man

  • thats tough, im tough. love him

  • thats tough, im tough. love him

  • If he dident have all the problems he had and dident piss of so many people he could have done so much better with his acting career, he could have been considered one of the best actors in the world right now like Marlon Brando or Jack Nicholson. But he still has some time left.

  • God Bless You Mickey(Phillipe)!

  • Now this is what a man really is. Every man should be like him.

  • OMG.. He found the true love love of his life. And sadly, he cannot be with her. I truly understand him and his feelings.

  • i love him so much! <33

and btw, what song is playing?

  • it's only dark for dodder heads prone to face carving

  • a bunch of old white pricks yapping

  • @Bjouesbijou As opposed to a bunch of old non-white pricks yapping? If you dont like white people then don't watch it. Theres some sincere heart felt stuff here. U Racist bigot

  • @AidanTA lol

  • interviewer: "That's tough"

    mickey rourke: " I'm tough."

    i like that part.

  • @liljon3369 u can see he still loves her. amazing.

  • those people doesnt know what they are talking about. Mickey Rourke was getting fantastic offers all the time even in the nineties- Die hard, Pulp Fiction, Beverly hills cop. He just turned them down because they didnt offer him enough money and that was because he was really poor at personal finances, as he said "you wait all the time for the perfect script, and then years pass youre broke and you need to film shit like harley davidson and marlboro man".

  • @smoku46 Yeah, it's a shame that he didn't get what he wanted. I don't really think it was about the money. I think he really didn't want to be a "blockbuster hero". I think he wanted to be an actor, to create something. I do agree, though, that Harley and Marlboro was a bad move. I think he spent the majority of his young life poor and I would think that poverty sucks, hence, his choices.

  • @wasteland70 People attribute too much bs to mickey, what I said was his own words, thus his own point of view, not mine.

  • I think he's the only real person left in Hollywood..

  • its so sad his life

  • god bless mickey!

  • Mickey is a tough guy and yeah the dealers should be beaten up!

  • Everytime I see a Mickey Rourke clip I say the same thing "HELLS YEAH!"

    I love him.

  • i love this guy

  • I love this guy too... I just purchased his movie 9 1/2 weeks so I can look at his expressions to Kim Bassinger... every man should get to have these expressions once in their life and every woman should see them... that movie was so fucking sexy... I saw it years ago and never forgot him in it.

  • Mickey, you're absolutely awesome!

  • I looooooooooove Mickey! I first saw Rumble Fish in 2002 (my freshman year of H.S.) and I have been in love with him since. he is such a bad ass! God I love that man!!!

  • holy shit 5:36 Rourke pulls a bad ass move, lights up a cigarette, looks like hes in an actual blockbuster movie, but its just an interview LOL, true bad ass, untouchable.

  • exactly, well ... he's tough! LOL :) I just feel sad that he missed the 90's ... :))) love this man :)

  • what is your feeling about a young woman who had drug addict?i don't know how to describe.

  • goosip is the most fearful thing.maybe it can help some people.however,it absolutely can 'kill' someone.

  • One look at his pants in the movie and I thought: it's PJs O Rourke!

  • I know he still has Carre's name tattooed on his arm so I believe he is still not over her!!! She was the love of his life and you don't ever get over the love of your life!!! But if he finds someone again, please let it be a woman his own age and not some young 20 something model who wants attention.

  • he is one hell of a guy... respect!

  • it sounds like he smokes alot. lol

  • I hope he finds love again

  • Ha! Don't be silly, just me being a geek. Is there anywhere I can view the whole show? There's a cack quality version which my speakers are rubbish for.

From one editor to another though, nice job. Lucky!!! I'd have loved to have done this, I'm a huge Rourke fan

  • Did you edit the interviewees straps/astons? If so, apologies for being pedantic, but Eric Roberts co starred in 'The Pope of Greenwich Village' not 'Rumble Fish'

  • not pedantic at all. 100% correct. an embarrassing error that made my blood run cold when i spotted it. sorry to everyone for the mistake. i hope it didn't spoil it for you.

  • ahhhh mickey. a real man.

  • Ironically, if Mickey had been the kind of guy to kowtow to Hollywood royalty, he would never have been the kind of guy to play the lead in The Wrestler. And I can't think of any other actor who could have done it better. It is his rebellious spirit that allowed him to identify so much with this unforgettable character. I'm not saying actors must be over-indulged but let's not try to tame our Mickey Rourke's too much either.

  • Time does mend a lot. In the Barbra Walters interview very recently he said he has moved on from her. Good for him.

  • i've learned that love is not possession.

love is to give the freedom of each other.

  • carre is so pitiful for mickey's rampant infidelity.

carre, you should care of yourself, not to hurt youself,be bravely.

  • to comb her hair down

  • it is a key point to use appropriate actions to love his former wife.

    good luck to him.

  • it is important to love your lover in touching her heart inside .her feeling ,her needs, her thoughts

  • to love your true love.just like managing you career in using right way .

  • Glad he is back now:D

  • He's one in a million!!!

Genuine actor, amazing person so humble, honest and big hearted...

    I love him!!!

  • The world needs people like Mickey Rourke who don't follow the rules and who break the rules otherwise life would be too dull

  • Mickey Rourke-- A regular guy ----a stand up guy. His soul is not for sale and he lives by his own rules. God Bless Men Like Him We Are Few!

  • @hubiethesaint I agree. Mickey Rourke is a magnificent actor, a true artist and tough as nails. I've read a good deal about his history and he is a survivor. People laugh, say all kinds of bullshit about him, he, however, can walk the line. He doesn't need to please anyone. He believes in honor amongst men, repsect, loyalty. I feel so terrible for him because I'm quite sure he's seen all of these things go out the window. I met him once, a great, great guy.

  • I will jump out of a plane just to be Mickey's "something that fell out of the damn sky" girl. And it has nothing to do with Mickey being on top again, I'd be just as happy with him in that closet with 10 chihuahuahs. lol. And, I agree with Mlgardens74. Where's the Mickey Rourke Biography? They can call it "knocked out" or something.

  • LOL mollination.

I just hope you are above 18, cos the last thing I wish for Mickey is to catch jailbait from the skies.

  • Hahaha, yeah he doesn't need any more trouble, does he? Nope, I'm perfectly legal :). It's weird though because he isn't the "George Clooney" type obviously, and yet at just a few years over 18, I find this guy SOooOOoo attractive!

  • lOVE THIS GUY.

  • Love the guy. He's been there and done it. Brutally honest.

  • "That's tough."

"I'm tough." (he says although his face says otherwise)

    I love Mickey.

  • Forget about the story of the wrestler, I want to see a movie about this guy's life.

  • if think about it, the wrestler was was destined for him.

  • wow, thats the saddest thing ever. Seeing Mickey so in pain makes me really sad. What a good man, he owns up to his mistakes and doesn't play any games. Hes upfront, love it or leave it. I really hope he'll keep it up. Its nice to have him back.

  • I have this sudden urge to go skydiving right by Mickey's house!!!!!

  • Mickey is a rarity. He's just so damn fascinating to listen too. It's no wonder he's such an amazing actor because he's such an interesting and brutally honest man...or at least interviewee. It comes through in his work definitely. I don't think anyone actor has been as candid as him since Brando and look at how brilliant he was...makes sense.

  • great man though, respect!

  • "She was a hell of a woman and a lot to match up to. Something would have to fall out of the fucking sky." LOL. What a great guy. Great character.

  • thats such a nice thing to say, poor guy was really in love.

  • Good interview.

  • thats a real man!

  • Can someone pleaaaasssseeeeee tell me the name and artist of the song that is playing in the background for the first few minutes of this scene???? Thanks!!

  • i used massive attack, angel at this point. it's the vocal mix.

  • What a guy. He is as brutally honest and candid as he is talented. Unfrigginbelievable. Here's to ya, Mick...

  • This guy's the man! I really hope he wins the oscar for the wrestler. Atleast he already won the Golden Globe Award.

  • Mickey Rourke is perhaps the most brutally honest celebrity of recent times. He is so charismatic because of this.

  • I really felt for Mickey and this revealing interview showed us Mickey at his most vunerable.I have so much respect for him his been through so much shit in his life and now he has back and it's so great to see him on top with his comeback film The Wrestler.

  • i know how he feels man.....i'm 40 and i'll never love again either i dont think

fuckin bitch broke my heart 7 years ago...

unless of course something falls out of the fuckin sky.....................

  • LOL, i feel for u brother!!! seriously!!!

  • charlieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Wow!

  • He sooooooo talented! He was great in Barfly...glad he's back on top with The Wrestler.

  • I love the bar scene where he says To all my friends, yea to all my friends!

  • Yeah! That's a classic scene...I love it as well!! :) I want a DVD copy so BADLY!!!!!! But it's nearly impossible to get :(

  • This man, is a badass. Rock on Mickey, Rock on.

  • I respect this guy, been trough alot of shit in his life. Go Mickey!

  • "that's tough..."

    "I'm tough"

    -haaahahaha!

  • A charismatic and very gifted actor!

  • is this recent?

  • It was shot in April 08, broadcast October 08. So, yeah, recent enough.

  • of course

  • Man I love this guy

  • thats tough

    "im tough"

    its like a movie line

    u da man mickey

  • To be honest, I hadn't planned to - I'm putting up little bits so I can link to them from my editing website, using them for showreel material. Keep an eye out for sure, but I don't think I'll be throwing up whole programmes.
