My laptop has 667Mhz(pc2-5300) so dimm DDR2 ram...if I upgrade it to 800mhz (pc2-6400) in case that does not support this speed will I have any difficulties having the laptop running (even clocked at 667)???
@GTAinHDgamer ddr2 is ddr2 to bios is what decides how the ram will run so even if you get ram that can run higher the motherboard and bios might still limit it.
I have that HyperX fan too and I was wondering if I install a Thermalright Silver Arrow (not watercooling) will I still be able to install that RAM cooler or it will hit?
@DuyAnh1 ...I wonder why I didn't answer you sooner? Anyway That thing is HUGE, but if the fans were on the "left" side pulling the air out or facing "up" pushing the are up then the ram cooler wouldn't be close to it. I'm sure there's a work around.
When I first saw these I was like how the fuck do they go in your box and then I realised from this video thanks a lot!

Will that fit over all 6 of the sticks of ram?
CmptrPrgmr 6 months ago
@CmptrPrgmr Of course it will. It's made for 4 but it'll slide over 6 and still keep them cool.

Wow, the last thing you do is put your hand next to the chipset without being grounded.

@GuMpAkC I'm always grounded or at least naked one or the other.
Jeahavee 1 year ago 11
@Jeahavee I wouldn't doubt it...

@GuMpAkC How would you know weather he was grounded or not?
People make snide ass comments like this way too often.
