  • I made a youtube profile just to leave this comment. This video was not only extremely helpful to me but it was extremely entertaining. I rewound it a thousand times to get it down and every time I watched it I laughed out loud. Any suggestion on what to watch to learn more scales or figures or whatever they are? Just by learning that D minor in those two positions and the C major it made my improvisation sound much more elaborate. If you could do a video on various scales I would be so grateful

    Tom...San Francisco

  • Hi Tom, thanks for comments. I hate serious and boring guitar teaching when music that should be made for fun turns into a science and tragedy. So I try to do the opposite :-)

  • great video!, whut is that cloth thingy at the nut of ur guitar that u move around?

  • Hi, it is a normal hair rubber band. A use it to eliminate all the noises and scratches by moving hands on the fretboard. If you play and speak at one time it is quite useful.

  • thankyou! im gunna try that on mine!

Guitar lessons are the main reason I use Youtube at the moment and its down to peolpe like you sharing your knowledge. It really is a great way to learn, being able to re-run any part of the video at any time and pause etc.

    Cheers
