  • Thanx 4 ur very useful video!

PM me and I'll tell U what coffee won't ever let U miss smth just like during last minutes of your tutorial!

  • Thank you so much! That helped much better then following the written instructions and messing it all up.

  • Thank you! You really helped me!

  • This is a really good tutorial. I was able to do it successfully, but I found that after doing it a lot of my images where broken, because I had set them to absolute paths. My mistake. Good thing was that I was able to reverse the process painlessly. I'll remember for next time. Thanks for the vid.

  • will i be able to post blog in both the sub directory and the root directory.

  • Once I got the .htaccess and index.php into the root and edited the index.php with the right path, it showed in my root. But, it was missing my banner, and all of the links are broken, and I can't log in. I cleared my cache as you advised. I've tried everything. What can I do in the database? Can I get in and change the admin page so that the whole shebang is in the /blog? Thanks, X

  • I have the opposit situation. I insalled WP in /blog a few days ago. Now, I decided that my blog is prettier than my website, and so I want WP to run my website, too. I edited admin page then I moved .htaccess and index.php to root direcory, (one step up). Now, I am locked out, and I can't get back in. Bummer. X

  • @XEvolutionist Check my videos. There is one showing you how to move your blog out of a subdirectory and into the root.

If you're locked out of your blog, you'll need to get in and edit your database. But there could be more to it than that.

  • Can you move (and edit) things back to how they were?

Does your blog work ok then?

If so, then go back and watch that other video.
