This bird has lots of work defending the nest againt potential enemys. Its a ballsy bird to have a nest at that crossing.

This is a male Brewer's Blackbird. They typically do this during nesting season. The way to stop them from doing this is counter-intuitive. Keep your eyes fixed on the bird and they won't touch you. The bird is intimidated by your stare.
